Chapter 195

Third Person’s POV

The air in the room was seemingly drained away in an instant, turning so thick and heavy that it was impossible to breathe.

Vivian was just a weak omega. Under this suffocating, top-tier Alpha pressure-strong enough to practically crush her bloodline -her knees immediately gave out, nearly sending her kneeling right onto the carpet.

Deep down, Vivian was terrified. Ever since she had known Mortimer, the man had never looked at her with such cold, lethal eyes-eyes that looked like they genuinely wanted to erase her from existence.

“Get out.”

That single, freezing word slowly slipped past Mortimer’s teeth, carrying absolute, undeniable suppression. 1

His low voice hit like a heavy hammer, completely freezing Vivian in her tracks!

The atmosphere in the area instantly turned to ice. All the guests who had been whispering a second ago felt the terrifying Alpha aura and immediately shut their mouths. For a moment, the banquet hall was so dead silent you could hear a pin drop.

Vivian swayed on her feet, her face as pale as a sheet of paper.

Yet, even at this point, driven by her sick delusion, she didn’t dare to hate Mortimer. Instead, she shot her venomous, poisonous glare right at Seraphina, who was casually, gracefully picking up her water glass, acting completely unbothered.

Feeling the glare trying to eat her alive, Seraphina elegantly set her glass back down.

“Why are you looking at me?” Seraphina asked, flashing her a light, breezy smile. “I’m not the one who told you to get out.”

Vivian was completely taken aback. She hadn’t expected Seraphina to act like this.

In the past, no matter how many times Vivian secretly provoked her, Seraphina always played the part of the generous, understanding wife, never stooping to her level. But now, this woman was actually daring to openly mock her right in front of

everyone.

Was she just acting arrogant now because Mortimer was showing her a little bit of attention tonight?

Why couldn’t Mortimer see that Seraphina’s past tolerance and meekness were all just a hypocritical mask? 1

“Mortimer…” Vivian tried to fall back into her victim role, desperately hoping to awaken his old affections.

But Mortimer had completely run out of patience for a single extra syllable from her mouth.

г

“If you don’t want security to throw you out like trash in front of every camera in this room, take your ass back to your seat. Right now.” Mortimer’s voice was deathly low, carrying a warning that meant his absolute final limit had been breached.

Even after Mortimer delivered such a brutal ultimatum, Vivian’s sick obsession kept her legs firmly glued to the floor.

Right then, Connor rushed over. Looking panicked and dripping with cold sweat, he pushed past the sneering crowd of elites and hurried toward them.

“Vivian! What the hell are you doing over here?! Get back to your seat right now!”

Connor was practically seeing red. He was so angry at his own daughter he could pass out. If he didn’t drag her away this second, the Davis family was going to become the absolute laughingstock.

He had repeatedly ordered Lillian to keep a tight leash on their daughter, but he had just gone to the bathroom for two minutes, and this idiot had already run straight to the VIP section to start a fire.

“Mortimer, I am so deeply sorry. Vivian hasn’t been in her right mind these past few days because of her syndrome.”

Connor bowed repeatedly, apologizing frantically to Mortimer and the surrounding high-ranking elders at the table while keeping a death grip on his daughter’s arm. “I am truly sorry for the trouble. I’ll take her away right now.”

Ignoring Vivian’s incredibly stubborn, reluctant struggles, Connor used every ounce of his strength to physically drag her backward toward the banquet hall doors.

As for the rest of the gala, Connor absolutely did not have the guts to stay and endure the humiliation. If they foolishly stayed, who knew what kind of apocalyptic Alpha rage was waiting to annihilate the Davis family next.

The second they stepped out into the spacious, empty lobby finally free from those suffocating, judgmental stares, Connor couldn’t hold it in anymore.
