Chapter 203
Third Person’s POV
In the spacious and luxurious living room of the Davis estate, Lillian was sinking into a plush leather sofa.
She picked up a bone china teacup, took a sip of black tea, and bossed around a nearby maid. “Today’s Madeleines are a bit tou dry. Afternoon tea pastries cannot be made carelessly. Also, go trim the flowers on the terrace; they’re an absolute eyesore.”
The internet videos being completely scrubbed had put Lillian in an exceptionally good mood these past two days.
In her view, the Craig Corporation’s PR department taking action represented Alpha Mortimer’s true attitude-it was just a blind, lowly animal, and their Davis family was still the untouchable VIPs of the Blade pack.
Just as she was calculating which high-end restaurant to blow money at tonight, a heavy series of knocks echoed from the
villa’s front door.
A maid hurriedly ran to open it. Lillian set down her teacup, looking displeased. “So frantic. Who is it?”
However, when she looked up, she saw that the people walking in weren’t familiar socialite’s or wealthy ladies. It was a group of grim-faced police officers in full uniform.
Lillian’s smug smile instantly froze on her face.
“Ma’am, following an investigation, you are suspected of maliciously harming someone else’s pet. You now need to come with us to assist with the investigation.”
“Do you cops have nothing better to do? Coming after me over a dog? Is this how you waste our taxpayer money?!” Lillian stood up abruptly, her shrill voice shattering the elegance of the living room as she pointed at the officers and cursed them loudly. 1
“Lillian Davis, you are suspected of maliciously damaging another person’s private property, and the financial amount has met the standard for a criminal charge. The police are summoning you according to the law. If you have any objections to our actions, you can call the supervisory hotline to complain or notify your lawyer. Now, please come with us.”
How could Lillian possibly cooperate? Her daughter had just suffered in a detention center a few days ago because of Seraphina’s tricks. Now, as a mother, was she really going to let the police arrest her over a lowly beast?
This was a massive joke!
“Go away! All of you, get out! If you don’t leave, I’ll sue you for trespassing and have your superiors strip you of those uniforms!” Lillian stepped back in her high heels, pointing her finger so aggressively she almost poked the lead officer in the face.
Lillian’s arrogant attitude made the officers frown in heavy displeasure.
In the security footage from the healing center that Seraphina had provided to the police, Vivian had personally admitted to Lillian’s crime of abusing and abandoning the animal.
Combined with the viral dashcam sewer video that had enraged the entire internet a few days ago, the investigating officers were already highly disgusted with this case.
Now, seeing Lillian acting so entitled and showing absolutely zero remorse, their disgust and aversion only grew heavier.
“I will emphasize this one more time. We are legally summoning you, and we are asking you to please cooperate with the investigation. If you continue to resist, we will take coercive measures to remove you from the premises.” The lead officer took a step forward, his expression turning extremely stern as the heavy majesty of law enforcement instantly pressed down on her.
“Are you threatening me?”
Lillian completely tore off her noble lady mask. Hysterically, she grabbed a heavy, white crystal ashtray off the coffee table and hurled it viciously straight at the lead officer’s face. 1

The officer’s eyes darkened. No longer holding back, he immediately signaled to his colleagues.
Two tall officers moved swiftly, stepping forward and executing a perfect joint-locking grapple. They instantly pinned Lillian hard against the armrest of the sofa. With a cold, hard click, steel handcuffs were swiftly locked around her wrists.
Just then, the villa’s front door was pushed open again. Vivian, who had just rushed home from the clinic, was met with this
exact scene.
“Stop! What are you doing? What crime did my mother even commit for you to treat her like this?”
Vivian’s face went pale. She screamed and rushed over, desperately blocking the police’s path and demanding answers.
“Your mother is suspected of maliciously damaging another person’s property. If you have objections, please bring a lawyer to the police station. Now, please step aside and do not obstruct official business. Otherwise, we will detain you as well for obstruction of justice,” the lead officer said coldly, completely unmoved by her screaming.
Hearing this, Vivian panicked and immediately dropped her biggest name. “You know Mortimer Craig, right?! The CEO of the Craig Corporation! Mortimer took down all those videos off the internet just to protect our family! You dare to arrest the person he’s protecting? Aren’t you afraid of losing your jobs?”
The officers actually paused for a second. A smug look was just about to appear on Vivian’s face when the lead officer sneered and pulled out the official summons stamped with the department’s seal.
“Miss Davis, we enforce the law impartially. Take her away.”
