Vivian arrived at Shadowfang Academy dressed in a carefully crafted “innocent” look. She had deliberately chosen to confront Seraphina in a public place, clearly hoping to sway public opinion.

“Seraphina, I didn’t know where you lived. One of your colleagues told me you’d come back to teach at Shadowfang Academy, so I had no choice but to wait here before dawn.”
