Chapter 64

“You’re asking if I’m happy?” Ethan let the question hang there, cold and still. “You followed me here. You sat at my table uninvited. You brought your pet. And you think I planned this?”
Vivian’s jaw tightened.
“You humiliated yourself, Vivian. Same as you did at Aurora’s company. Same as you did at the
restaurant.” Ethan leaned forward. “Let me make something very clear, since you seem to need reminders every few days.”
“I don’t love you anymore, Vivian. I haven’t for a long time.” The words were quiet, unhurried, absolute. The person drowning in regret here isn’t me. It’s never been me. You’re the one who shows up uninvited. You’re the one making public spectacles. You’re the one who can’t let go.”
Vivian’s eyes went glassy. Red crept up from her throat to her cheekbones.
“So here’s my advice.” Ethan’s gaze didn’t waver. “Stop. Because if you pull something like this again-if you come at me or the people around me one more time-I will make you regret it in ways you can’t even
imagine yet.”
Vivian’s breath came in short, sharp pulls. Her knuckles had gone white, her shoulders rigid. The words were there he could see them building behind her teeth, something bitter and desperate and furious all
at once.
She opened her mouth-
“Ethan, darling.”
A warm body pressed against his left arm. Bianca hooked her elbow through his, pulling herself close with zero hesitation, her cheek nearly brushing his shoulder. She smelled like jasmine and expensive
trouble.
“Don’t waste your energy on her.” She tilted her face up toward him with a pout that belonged on a magazine cover. “Stay with us. We’ll take good care of you.”
Her eyes slid sideways to Vivian, sharp as a blade beneath the sweetness.
“Look at her, then look at us.” Bianca clicked her tongue. “Not even in the same league. From now on, Aurora and I will take care of you. Whatever you need-we’ve got it covered.”
Ethan didn’t expect this. He went still. His ears burned.
He’d already played the couple act with Sophie in front of Vivian. Now Bianca was clinging to him like they were lovers in public. If Vivian started spreading rumors-two women, three women-his reputation would be unsalvageable.
His eyes shot toward Aurora. A clear, unmistakable SOS.
‘Help me. Pull her off. Say something.’

Aurora met his gaze. A faint smile curved her lips.
Then she stood, walked around the table, and latched onto his right arm.
“I agree with Bianca,” Aurora said softly. Her thumb traced a small circle on his forearm. “Stay with us. We’ll make sure you live well.”
Ethan went rigid. Both arms pinned. Trapped between two women who were clearly enjoying this far too
much.
Vivian stared.
Her brain short-circuited.
‘Sophie wanting him-fine. Maybe that was just to spite me.’ Her thoughts spiraled, grasping for logic that kept slipping through her fingers. ‘But Aurora Sinclair? The CEO of Stellaris? And her friend? Both of them, clinging to a divorced man like he’s some kind of prize?’
‘Is it because he’s good in bed?’ The thought surfaced before she could stop it. ‘He was always… capable. But that can’t be enough to attract someone at Aurora’s level. It doesn’t make sense. None of
this makes sense.’
The humiliation was a physical thing-hot, suffocating, pressing against the inside of her chest.
She couldn’t stand here one second longer.
“You’re nothing but a two-timing scumbag.” Her voice came out raw, scraped thin by fury. “Damian was right about you. A man like you doesn’t deserve the chance I was giving him.”
She turned on her heel and walked away. She didn’t look back even once.
The moment Vivian disappeared around the corner, Ethan yanked both arms free and practically vaulted across the table, dropping into the seat opposite them.
He exhaled hard. “You two went way too far.”
Bianca rolled her eyes so dramatically her entire head moved with them. “Ungrateful. Absolutely ungrateful.” She jabbed a finger at him. “We just helped you destroy your ex-wife’s last shred of dignity, and this is the thanks we get?”
She flipped her hair over one shoulder. “Fine. You’re handsome, so I’ll let it slide. This time.”
Aurora pressed her lips together, suppressing a smile. “She’s not wrong. Though,” she added, cutting a sidelong glance at Bianca, “you did lay it on a little thick.”
“Me?” Bianca pressed a hand to her chest in mock offense. “You’re the one who went full romance-
drama heroine on his other arm.”
Ethan rubbed his temple.
The rest of the day passed quietly.
