“Nothing went wrong, did it?” Luke sighed. “Nothing went wrong. But the CEO of Venus is my high school classmate.”

Luke imagined his father wearing exactly the same stunned expression he’d had moments ago.

“Look at her!” His father finally snapped. “She just graduated from high school and she’s already running a company!”

“And what about you?”

“You’ve accomplished absolutely nothing!”

A moment later, Mr. Quinn seemed to remember something.

“Wait… weren’t you the one who used to chase after her?”

“The same girl Mr. Barclay warned you to stay away from?”

His voice turned stern.

“I’m warning you now–keep yourself in check.”

“Mr. Barclay is one problem.”

“Your arranged marriage is another.”

“The last thing we need is for you to stir up more trouble.”
