Olivia had guessed correctly.

At the Violin Association in Capital City, Professor Park was already drowning in work. Her inbox was on the verge of exploding.
The association had received a huge number of membership applications this year, and everyone was working overtime to review the submissions, hoping to finish before the entrance examinations began
Professor Park took a large gulp of coffee. The caffeine finally cleared some of the fog from her exhausted mind. She sat back down and opened the next email.
Olivia Sutton?
She muttered the name to herself as she clicked it open.
‘Why does that sound so familiar? I know I’ve seen that name somewhere before…
She opened the application materials. The moment she saw the attached photo, she remembered.
This was the girl whose violin performance had been painfully awful at last year’s Capital City Music Festival.
Why would someone like her apply to the Violin Association?
Where did she get the confidence?
Still, in the spirit of fairness and impartiality, Professor Park carefully reviewed the application.
So many original compositions?
If she really had this much experience, then what on earth had happened during that opening performance last year?
After reading the impressive résumé Ethan had prepared for Olivia, even Professor Park found herself
uncertain.
Judging by the association’s admission standards, the application was perfectly acceptable. The performance in the attached video was accurate and technically sound. The audio clearly wasn’t dubbed afterward–Olivia was genuinely playing the violin herself.
Could it be that after the embarrassment of last year’s music festival, she had devoted herself to practicing and achieved a dramatic breakthrough?
If that were true, she would be a once–in–a–century prodigy.
In the end, reason prevailed over emotion. Professor Park decided to give Olivia another chance and see how she performed during the entrance examination.
After moving the application into the approved folder, her assistant hurried over.

Pinching the bridge of her nose, Professor Park asked tiredly, “Who is it this time? Please don’t tell me it’s another one of those people from Capital City trying to pull strings. The kind who think they cany their way into the Violin Association.”
She had met far too many of them lately and felt completely drained.
The assistant shook her head vigorously.
“No, it’s Miss Noir.”
“Miss Noir? Which Miss Noir-”
Halfway through the sentence, realization struck.
Iris.
Iris was here!
Professor Park immediately stood up.
“Find someone to cover for me. I’m going out to greet Iris.”
At that moment, Iris was sitting on a sofa in the association lobby, holding a cup in her hands and feeling slightly guilty.
Back then, Professor Park had told her to report to the association as soon as her college entrance exams were over. But after graduation, so many things had happened that she had completely forgotten about it.
It wasn’t until a few days ago, when Darius mentioned it during dinner, that she remembered.
“Iris, you’re finally here! I’ve been waiting for you for ages!”
Although fatigue was evident on Professor Park’s face, her expression brightened noticeably the moment she saw Iris.
She hurried over and sat beside her.
“I was starting to think another association had stolen you away and that you weren’t coming to us after all.”
Iris smiled.
“Nothing like that. I gave you my word, Professor Park. Of course I’d come.”
“I didn’t email my application materials. I printed everything out and brought them with me.”
She handed over a folder.
Professor Park accepted it with a smile.

Iris shook her head.
“That’s not necessary. I’ll participate in the entrance examination like everyone else.”
