Chapter 312 Your Evening Belongs To Me
Suppressing a laugh, Iris gently lowered Emma Barclay’s pointing finger.
“Let’s get in the car first.”

Emma was still fuming as she walked beside Iris, craning her neck upward to continue her lecture.
“Sister Iris, whatever you do, don’t pay attention to him! He isn’t even worthy of being compared to a single hair on my Uncle’s head!”
The moment she finished speaking, the car door opened from the inside.
Ares Barclay was sitting in the back seat.
“Get in. It’s hot outside.”
“Hehe, coming!” Emma immediately climbed into the car.
Before getting in, she didn’t forget to turn around and stick her tongue out at Ethan.
Normally, she was quite polite to strangers.
But this Ethan was obviously interested in Iris.
Worse, he knew perfectly well that Iris already had a boyfriend and still refused to back off.
That alone made him a bad person in Emma’s eyes.
Although autumn had arrived, the weather remained warm.
After walking from the dormitory to the university gate, a light sheen of sweat had formed on
Iris’s face.
Ares quietly pulled out two tissues and carefully wiped her forehead.
At the same time, he handed her a cup of her favorite iced cappucino.
Ethan’s mention of the orientation gala reminded Iris of something.
“Did
you receive Capital University’s invitation for the orientation gala?”
Ares nodded.
“I did.” A faint smile appeared on his lips. “After seeing the program list, I already decided I was

He paused before continuing.

“The university also spent quite a bit of money hiring some well-known performers. They seem determined to make this year’s event a big one.”
Then his gaze fell to her hands.
“How are your injuries?”
Iris lifted both hands and waved them in front of him. “They’re completely fine now. Thanks to Celeste.”
Celeste hadn’t been at the association much these past few days.
Apparently there had been some family matters she needed to handle.
“Why did you bring Emma with you today?” Iris asked.
Before Ares could answer, Emma leaned across the seat and wrapped her arms around Iris’s neck.
“Our school has the day off today, and there are annoying people at home, so Uncle Ares brought me out!”
Iris laughed. “Are you taking her to the office afterward?”
“There isn’t much happening at the company today. Once I drop you off at the association, I’ll probably take her with me.”
The moment Emma heard that, she protested. “If you’re busy, I can just stay with Iris!”
Ares immediately shut that idea down. “Don’t distract her. Her training schedule is already packed.”
“I won’t distract her!” Emma puffed out her cheeks. “I can just sit outside and wait. I’ve never even visited the Capital City Violin Association before.”
Ares looked at her flatly.
“You’ve never visited? Last New Year’s, your great-grandfather took you there.”
Emma immediately argued back.
“That doesn’t count! Sister Iris wasn’t there!”

Then she turned toward Iris with a bright grin.
“Now I want to go again!”
Watching the two go back and forth, Iris couldn’t help smiling.

“It’s fine. She can stay in the classroom next to our training room and read or do homework.”
“Yay!” Emma immediately cheered. “I knew Sister Iris loves me the most! Good thing I brought two books today.”
Since Iris had already agreed, Ares had no choice but to accept it.
“Behave yourself. No causing trouble.”
Emma rolled her eyes dramatically. “Since when did you become so naggy?”
Ares tapped her lightly on the forehead. “I wouldn’t have to nag if certain people hadn’t gotten their parents called yesterday.”
Emma instantly lunged forward and covered his mouth.
“Stop talking! Don’t ruin my image in front of Iris!”
By the time their conversation ended, they had arrived at the association.
Iris opened the car door and was about to step out when Ares caught her wrist.
“Do you have time tonight? I booked a nice restaurant.”
Iris mentally reviewed her schedule. “I don’t think I have anything planned tonight.”
Ares gently drew her hand toward him and pressed a kiss to the back of it.
