Chapter 339 New Friend Request
The host thought for a moment before answering.
“I noticed the girl on their team-the one standing in the front now. She was writing on the sheet music with a pen.”
“It looked like… she was revising the score.”
The association president frowned. “She was the only one changing it? What were the others doing?”
“They were all watching her. I was too far away to hear what they were saying.”
The president stared at the performers onstage, then quietly slipped away while no one was paying attention.
A moment later, he was standing beside Mr. Liam.
Mr. Liam’s eyes never left the stage. He barely dared to breathe, terrified that something would go wrong.
So far, the performance had exceeded every expectation he had dared to hope for.
But the closer it came to the finale… the more anxious he became.
He didn’t even notice someone standing beside him until-
“Mr. Liam.”
Mr. Liam looked over in surprise.
The president of the Emeris’s Violin Association had somehow appeared at his side.
“What do you want?”
Mr. Liam wasn’t stupid. He had long suspected that the man beside him was behind everything that had happened.
Naturally, he wasn’t about to greet him warmly.
The president stepped closer, following Mr. Liam ‘s gaze toward the stage where Iris and the others were performing.
“You wrote a very nice piece this year.”
“Of course we did. Thank you.”

Seeing that Mr. Liam had no intention of continuing the conversation, the president cleared his throat, preparing to ask his real question.
Before he could speak-
The performance ended.
The musicians lowered their violins and bowed gracefully to the audience.
For a brief moment….

The entire hall fell silent.
Everyone seemed frozen
Then Mr. Liam began clapping.
The applause snapped everyone back to reality.
An instant later, thunderous applause erupted throughout the ballroom.
Audience members from every country rose to their feet, praising the performance in dozens of different languages.
Behind her, Iris heard her teammates whispering.
“What are they saying?”
“I don’t understand half of those languages.”
“Me neither.”
“But everyone looks excited.”
“So… they’re probably not insulting us.”
The group laughed quietly as they left the stage.
Mr. Liam’s assistant handed him a prepared bouquet of flowers.
Without hesitation, he passed it directly to Iris.
“Everyone worked hard.”
Just as Iris accepted the bouquet, Vincent approached from the other side carrying another enormous bouquet.
One of the team members quickly took Mr. Liam’s flowers so Iris would have both hands free.
“You were incredible, Iris. Congratulations.” Vincent smiled warmly, “I’ve attended countless concerts throughout my life, but I’ve never heard a performance as full of life as yours.”
This wasn’t because she was his sister.
At that moment…
He was congratulating her simply as an outstanding violinist representing their country.
“Iris…”
“You really did it.”
“That was amazing.”
Mr. Liam nodded repeatedly. “The result far exceeded my expectations. If we’d performed the backup piece instead… we never could have achieved something like this. I knew bringing you here was the right decision.”

He fürned toward the president of the Entieris’s association and mimicked the smug smile the man had worn earlier.
“Now then… what was you wanted to ask me?”
The president stiffened. “…Nothing.”
“If you have nothing to ask…” Iris calmly stepped forward. “…then I have a question for you.”
She stopped directly in front of him.
Her voice was icy.
“Why was the composition we spent months preparing included in your team’s performance?”
The president didn’t panic.
Unlike certain fools Iris had dealt with before, he remained perfectly composed.
“Our composition was also an original work.”
He calmly explained his interpretation of the melodies and musical structure.
Everything sounded logical.
