By 8:00 a.m., Sebastian woke up.
Noelle, however, slept straight through until the afternoon.
She came downstairs feeling refreshed and energized.
Sebastian sat in the living room with a tablet, sorting through his work. His loose loungewear made him look casual, yet his natural elegance still stood out. His sharp profile, slightly pressed lips, and focused expression made him look completely serious.
Noelle smiled as she approached. “Honey, you’re up so early!”
Hearing her voice, Sebastian set the tablet aside. You’re awake? I had the chef make something special for you. After you eat, I’ll take you out. We can shop for whatever you want. If there’s nothing else, we’ll head back to Riverdale.”
With Noelle’s medicine, Theodore would be fine so Sebastian didn’t want to linger in Kingstowne. Otherwise, the Hernandezes would think he was trying to compete for the family inheritance.
He didn’t want unnecessary conflict with Ethan.
“Okay!” Noelle agreed cheerfully.
The two of them went out shopping. Noelle wanted to pick up a few small gifts for Oswald and the others.
She wandered into a women’s clothing store while Sebastian received a call outside.
As Noelle wandered through the shop, she spotted a nice dress and said to the clerk, “Could you take this down? I’d like to-”
“Where’d this country bumpkin come from? You think you can shop here?”
A woman in a pale yellow dress, Juliet, stepped forward with a frown, her eyes dripping with disdain as she stared at Noelle.
That was the fanciest mall in all of Kingstowne, yet here was Noelle, wearing a mix of random brands, daring to walk in.

Chapter 141 Country Bumpkin
Noelle blinked, utterly confused. Country bumpkin? Is she talking about me?

“If you can’t afford it, don’t even touch things,” Juliet said, glancing at her with pure scorn. “You’ll just dirty the clothes.”
Though she said it was dirty, her actions said something else. She waved over the clerk. “I’ll take this one. Wrap it up for me.”
Noelle tilted her head and smiled faintly. “Miss, picked this first. If you want one, maybe ask the clerk to get you another.”
Juliet’s disdain only grew stronger. “You clueless bumpkin. Don’t you know every item here is limited edition? Only one of each!”
“Oh,” Noelle replied lazily. “Then this one is mine. You can pick something else.”
“This must be your first time in Kingstowne. You clearly don’t understand how this store works. First come doesn’t mean it’s yours. Status rules.”
Juliet slowly pulled a VIP card from her purse. “See this? VIP card. I’m a VIP. That means I get first pick over people like you.”
Her eyes were full of hostility. Noelle squinted slightly. “Miss, have I done anything to offend you?”
From the moment Juliet walked in, she’d been hostile, and Noelle couldn’t figure out why.
Was she just naturally good at attracting hate?
Juliet sneered coldly. “Because you’re a country bumpkin. Unlike me, you don’t have a VIP card. Now get lost! Don’t interrupt my shopping
Part of Juliet’s problem was that she’d noticed Noelle with a ridiculously handsome man earlier. He was dressed simply, yet his vibe was unmistakable.
Meanwhile, Noelle’s face was clearly natural, yet unbelievably good–looking. Juliet had gone under the knife dozens of times and still couldn’t compare. She felt it was unfair.
The clerk, stuck in the middle, was sweating. She didn’t want to offend either, but Juliet was a VIP, so she had to prioritize her. Gritting her teeth, she tried to persuade Noelle, “Miss, how about you look at some other styles? We can offer a discount.”
Before Noelle could answer, a man walked in and stopped beside her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
“Is a VIP card that impressive?”
