Brandon saw that things were getting awkward, so he hurried over to smooth things over. He muttered a few polite excuses and dragged the fuming Belinda and Derek away.
The other guests saw the Steeles get shut down and took the hint. They gave their quick congratulations and left, not wanting to ruin the family reunion.
Roman was one of the last to leave. He patted Noelle on the shoulder and smiled kindly. “I’m glad you’re home. If you ever need anything from me, just ask.”
Noelle smiled. “Thank you, Mr. Haller.”
After the last guests left, the noisy hall finally became quiet.
Angus looked at his granddaughter–so poised and impressive. He was overflowing with joy. He gently patted her hand, his voice softer than ever. “Let’s go, sweetie. Let’s go home.”
Noelle nodded. Looking at the old man whose eyes were red, she felt warm inside. She said softly, “Okay, Grandpa.”
Hearing her finally call him “Grandpa” instead of “Mr. Angus” made him so happy he almost started crying again.
Her three uncles, who had been waiting impatiently, immediately swarmed her. They stared at Noelle eagerly, with none of their usual stern aura left.
Brian rubbed his hands like a kid waiting for praise. “Noey, don’t forget about us…”
Kenny pushed up his glasses, his eyes full of expectation.
Lance was the most direct. He pulled out a small velvet box like a magic trick. Inside was a sparkling blue diamond brooch. “Sweetie, call me Uncle Lance! This is for you–just for fun!”
Seeing these powerful business tycoons crowd around her, acting so childish and goofy, Noelle couldn’t help but smile and shake her head.
She looked at them one by one, her eyes smiling, and said clearly and gently, “Uncle Brian, Uncle Kenny, Uncle Lance.”
“Yes!”
“I’m here!”
“Good girl!”
All three uncles lit up instantly. They looked happier than if they’d closed a billion dollar deal, all rushing to stuff their gifts into Noelle’s hands.
Lucas and Sebastian were pushed to the side.
Lucas just clicked his tongue, but Sebastian was all smiles.
Both of them were happy for Noelle.
She had finally found her family.

In the end, Angus waved his hand. “Alright, alright, stop standing around! Let’s go home! We’re going to have a real celebration for my granddaughter!”
Angus and the three uncles surrounded Noelle and left the hall together, loud and cheerful.
Mary stood far off in the distance. She couldn’t even find a way to join them, so she just followed stiffly.
Every headline and trending topic was about “The Real Guzman Heiress Noelle,” “Fake Heiress Viola Arrested,” and “Alliance 749 Backs Noelle.”
When they got back to the Guzman Residence, Noelle sat down on the couch and checked her phone. It was basically exploding with notifications. The top messages were from Eleanor and Quinna.
Eleanor said, “Noelle! You! The Guzman heiress?! Oh my God! I literally fell off my bed watching the livestream! My mom thought it was an earthquake! You hid this way too well! Tell me, how many more surprises, or scares, are you hiding from me?!” Then she sent a gif of a cartoon shaking someone.
Quinna said, “Noelle–I mean, Ms. Guzman! My hands are still shaking. I was so shocked by the stream that I dropped my grandpa’s antique teapot. He’s chasing me around the yard right now… but worth it! Your secret identity is insane! I’m following you from now on!” She also sent an image of someone on her knees.
Even Quinna, who was usually super calm, was acting crazy. That’s how huge this news was.
Not just them, but even the Alliance 749 group chat was full of screaming and congrats.
Noelle couldn’t help but laugh at how excited everyone was.
She replied to everyone, put her phone away, and looked up–Wesley and Mary walking toward her.
Noelle’s expression turned cold.
“Noelle, L…”
Mary bit her lip, her voice shaking.
