Chapter 388 Ruined by the Idiotic Sisters
At that moment, a low male voice rang out, carrying a trace of lazy amusement.
“Oh? Someone wants to throw my wife out? As a servant, no less?”

Everyone turned. Sebastian had appeared in the garden at some point, strolling over at an unhurried pace. He stopped beside Noelle and naturally wrapped an arm around her shoulders, drawing her into his side in a protective gesture.
His gaze swept lightly over Hailey and Veronica. There was no obvious emotion in his eyes, yet the sisters felt an inexplicable chill crawl up their spines.
“W–Who are you?!” Hailey shrieked.
“Sebastian Menzie. And you’re cursing my wife.”
“Se… Sebastian Menzie?!”
What he did to the Menzie Estate was the talk of Kingstowne. Everyone would’ve heard of that incident by now.
Even the Flynn sisters knew that story.
This man was a mad dog–someone who didn’t even hesitate to turn against his own grandfather’s household.
The moment they heard his name, both sisters instinctively took a step back. But then Hailey remembered where they were–this was the Guzman residence–and that her sister was about to become the future Mrs. Guzman. Her courage surged back.
She pointed at Noelle and shouted at Roman and Jonathan, “Mr. Angus! Mr. Jonathan! You see this, right? This Noelle–she’s shameless! She flirts with Lucas, and now she’s tangled up with Sebastian, too! And she’s working here at your place as a servant! Keeping a woman like this in the Guzman family is a disgrace! Fire her already!”
Veronica echoed sharply. “Yes! Fire her! Someone like her doesn’t deserve to be in your house!”
They were so wrapped up in their own fury and fantasies that they failed to notice the way the Guzman family members were now looking at them–like they were already dead.
Angus drew a slow breath, as though he had just heard something utterly absurd. He spoke at last, his voice quiet but crushing. “You want to fire her?”
Hailey thought he was agreeing and grew even more animated. “Yes! Mr. Angus! A woman like her will only ruin your family’s reputation!”
“Exactly! Please fire her right away! My sister and I are actually very mild–tempered–losing control today is embarrassing, but it only proves how despicable Noelle really is!
“Someone like her isn’t even qualified to be a servant in the Guzman–‘
”
“Enough!”
A sharp, resounding slap cut her off mid–sentence.
Hailey’s head snapped to the side from the force of it.

Her cheek burned as she clutched her face and stared in disbelief at Claire.
“Claire… you hit me?!” Tears instantly welled up in her eyes.
Claire’s face was ashen, her chest heaving. Terror and fury warred in her eyes as she barked, “Shut up! Apologize to Ms. Charlotte- right now!”
Ms. Charlotte?
That title exploded in Hailey and Veronica’s ears like thunder.
“Ms. Charlotte–Noelle!” Claire ground out through clenched teeth, spelling it out for them.
Boom.
It was as if lightning struck both sisters squarely in the head.
They froze in place, bodies stiff, then slowly–mechanically–turned to look at Noelle, who stood calmly in Sebastian’s embrace.
M–Ms. Charlotte?
The precious daughter everyone was scrambling to please? The one Claire had told them to win over at all costs?
That was… Noelle?!
Impossible.
Shock and terror crashed over them like a tidal wave. Hailey’s lips trembled, but no sound came out.
Veronica’s face drained of all color, her limbs going ice–cold.
At that moment, Mary stepped forward, her gaze icy as it settled on Veronica. “So, it was you, the little actress who bullied my daughter at the film studio.”
That single sentence sealed Noelle’s identity beyond all doubt.
The last shred of hope the Flynn sisters clung to shattered completely.
“She … how could she be…” Hailey stammered. “She doesn’t even have the Guzman name–how could she be Ms. Charlotte?”
“My daughter was stolen after birth and wandered outside for twenty years. So, she doesn’t carry the Guzman name. Is that a problem?”
Her eyes swept over the sisters, sharp as knives. “She’s my daughter–I can barely bring myself to raise my voice at her, and you two barge into my house and rip into her like that?”
“N–No… that’s not…” Hailey’s voice shook uncontrollably.
Jonathan stepped forward, his gaze glacial as it landed on Claire and her sisters. “Ms. Flynn, it seems your sisters lack basic upbringing. Not only did they insult my sister, they even tried to dictate who gets fired in my home?”
