Fake Heiress Reborn Drops Masks Finds Family (Noelle and Sebastian) novel Chapter 566

"You'd really go this far for him?"

"That's my husband! What do you think?"

Noelle screamed the words, her bloodshot eyes filled with reckless determination.

When she realized her wrist was trapped in his iron grip and impossible to break free from, a vicious look flashed through her eyes. Without another thought, she spun around and used every last ounce of explosive strength in her body to slam herself into the ship's railing.

Bang! The old railing, already rotting with age, snapped instantly.

Like a kite with its string cut loose, Noelle threw herself without hesitation into the raging ocean below.

The freezing seawater swallowed her whole in an instant. The impact nearly knocked her unconscious, but she clenched her teeth and desperately forced her limbs to move, swimming toward the nameless island with everything she had.

"Noelle!"

The man roared furiously behind her.

Right after that came the sound of something heavy crashing into the water.

But Noelle couldn't hear any of it anymore.

The drug's effects had fully kicked in, and combined with the blood loss, her consciousness rapidly faded. Every bit of strength drained from her body as she slowly sank deeper into the pitch-black sea.

Just before the freezing seawater poured into her nose and mouth, a strong arm suddenly wrapped around her waist and yanked her violently back above the surface.

"Cough, cough..."

Noelle choked up seawater. Through her blurred vision, she was about to struggle when she felt a warm breath draw close.

The man lifted her chin in the water. The seawater had distorted that painfully average face, revealing beneath it a pair of eyes burning with frantic panic.

"Don't move!"

He barked the words lowly, then lowered his head without hesitation and kissed her freezing lips.

Noelle's pupils shrank violently. Before she could react, a stream of warm air was breathed into her mouth.

Life-saving air. And also that familiar scent engraved deep in her bones, carrying the faint smell of sandalwood.

The two of them rose and fell with the crashing waves, and in that moment, time itself seemed to stop.

The man held her tightly like he was clutching a priceless treasure he'd finally gotten back, terrified that if he loosened his grip for even a second, she'd disappear forever into the endless sea.

And in the very last second before Noelle completely lost consciousness, only one thought crossed her mind.

Even his kissing feels exactly like Sebastian's.

The waves crashed violently against the reef, sending white spray into the air.

The man hauled Noelle onto the deck in one swift motion.

She was soaked from head to toe, wet hair plastered messily against her pale cheeks, while her chest rose and fell hard.

The second she hit the deck, before she could even steady herself, she raised her hand and used every last bit of strength she had left.

Noelle froze. Before she could even react, the ship had already changed direction and started heading back toward the mysterious island.

"Why are we going back?" Noelle demanded anxiously.

The man shot her a cold glance. "Because those two idiots jumped in after you."

Noelle blinked in confusion. "Who?"

A short while later, at the nameless island's dock.

The moment the ship reached shore, Noelle saw a familiar figure climbing miserably out of the water, completely drenched like a drowned rat.

It was Lucas.

The dignified Steele heir now looked filthy and pathetic.

"Noey!"

Lucas spotted Noelle on the ship instantly, his eyes lighting up. Not caring at all that he was soaked head to toe, he ran straight toward her, his voice full of relief after surviving a disaster. "Are you okay? You scared the hell out of me!"

But the moment he reached her, his voice abruptly cut off.

He looked Noelle up and down, only to suddenly notice her lips... looked a little swollen.

That color. That shape. No matter how he looked at them, they looked like... they'd been kissed hard.

Lucas's gaze instantly shifted from Noelle's lips to the black-clothed, expressionless man standing beside her.
