Tarquin struggled even harder. Water rushed into his mouth, his nose, and even his eyes. It burned. He couldn’t breathe. He was about to suffocate.
“Today, I’m helping you clear your head,” Lucas said coldly. “If there’s a next time, I’ll really take it off your shoulders Larways mean what I say.”
Lucas finally let go. Tarquin slammed onto the floor like a lifeless doll. Lucas didn’t even look at him and walked out of the
restroom.
Outside, Lucas spotted Sebastian and Noelle eating quietly.
A smile finally appeared on his face. He walked over and clicked his tongue. “Tsk tsk, you two are really something. You started eating without me? Sebastian, you’ve broken my heart.”
Sebastian lifted his eyes to look at him. Before he could speak, Noelle cut in first. “Hey! Cut that off! Just talk like a normal person.”
Sebastian’s line had been stolen; he opened his mouth, but no words came out.
She had said exactly what he was thinking.
That evening, Sebastian brought Noelle, Lucas, Primo, and Duo to the auction house.
The auction house belonged to the Hallers. They weren’t old money, but they were backed by the powerful Guzmans. On top of that, Roman was friendly and well–connected. In Kingstowne, everyone gave the Hallers some respect.
Every auction drew a huge crowd. People from all walks of life showed up. Still, no one dared cause trouble. The name “Hallers” alone was enough to keep order.
The auction house had four floors. The first floor was open to anyone who passed a funds check, so it was the most crowded. The second floor required some family background. The third floor was for top families and major alliances. The fourth floor was private and never open to the public.
Primo handed a special access card to the attendant. The attendant glanced at it and straightened at once. With great respect, he led them up to the third floor.
Just then, a group came down from the third floor.
They ran straight into Sebastian’s group.
‘Bo-”
They wore badges marked Alliance 749. The leader saw Noelle and instinctively started to speak. The moment he met her warning look, he swallowed the rest of his words.
He nodded politely to them and hurried downstairs.
“Alliance 749?” Lucas looked surprised.

“They usually avoid events like this. Why are they here tonight? Is there some rare item up for auction?”
Noelle rubbed her nose and said nothing.
The attendant led them into the second private room on the third floor.

“This is your room,” he said respectfully. “There are snacks and fruit inside. If you need anything, just let us know.” After that, he quietly left.
Sebastian had chosen one of the best rooms on the floor. From here, they could clearly see the stage and the entire fiat de hall, but no one below could see them.
“Honey, I’m going to the restroom,” Noelle said, glancing at her phone. Serena had already sent her several messages, urging her to
come over.
“I’ll go with you,” Sebastian said.
“No, you don’t have to; I know the way,” Noelle replied quickly.
“I’ll be fine on my own.”
With that, she hurried out. This was the third floor. Everyone here was powerful and well–known. It wasn’t chaotic like the first floor. Sebastian wasn’t worried about her safety.
“I’ll go take a look too,” Lucas said as he headed out. He wanted to find out why Alliance 749 was here. He also wanted to know who had come with them this time.
Most of all, he wanted to see if the miracle healer was among them.
Outside, Noelle left the private room. Instead of going to the restroom, she turned and walked into the room next door.
That room belonged to Alliance 749.
Two bodyguards stood at the door. When they saw Noelle, they nodded respectfully and opened it. “Boss.”
Noelle nodded and walked in.
Serena was sitting inside the room.
She wore a red backless dress. Her long hair fell in soft waves over her shoulders. She looked confident, striking, and full of charm.
“Noelle! I can’t believe it’s you!” Serena jumped to her feet. “How long has it been? I’ve missed you so much!”
Before Noelle could react, Serena pulled her into a tight hug.
Serena was about five foot nine, while Noelle was only about five foot five. The height difference was obvious, and Noelle’s face ended up pressed right against Serena’s chest.
