Chapter 318 Not Feeling Well Physically
Natalie’s POV:
His words cut right through my heart.

Fine. I admitted it. I had been scared moments ago. I was shocked to see him completely lose control and transform into a beast. I couldn’t process what was happening.
But I was even more shocked by his decision now.
Could everything we’d built, all the feelings and trust we’d shared lately, really be dismissed by him?
Was all his kindness and tenderness toward me something he could just take back so easily?
He did it to Victoria, and now… to me, too?
For a split second, I even wondered if he just needed a “sedative”-something to make him feel secure, to soothe his furious bloodline. The thought pained me deeply.
“I don’t want to make this harder for you,” Leonardo said, his voice dropping low.
Suddenly, I had no words. It wasn’t that there was nothing to say, but every possible sentence got stuck in my throat, painful and suffocating.
We stood there in silence in the living room, the faint metallic scent of blood still hanging in the air. Time crawled by, each second feeling painfully long.
I didn’t know how much time passed-maybe just a few minutes, maybe an eternity-before I finally moved my stiffened body and stood up.
Then, I reached out my uninjured hand toward Leonardo, who was still sitting on the floor.
Leonardo looked up at me, startled.
“The floor is cold,” I said softly, my voice flat. “You’re not fully recovered yet. You shouldn’t catch a chill.”
He didn’t take my hand. He pushed himself up from the ground,
I said nothing more. I pulled my hand back, turned, and walked toward the wreckage of the dining table, intending to start cleaning up.
Leonardo immediately stepped in front of me, his voice hoarse. “Don’t touch that. The staff will handle it tomorrow. Your hand isn’t…”
He didn’t finish. I had already stepped around him and walked straight back to the bedroom.
Leonardo’s POV:
I stood alone under the lights, staring at the firmly shut bedroom door. Suddenly, it felt like a chunk of my heart had been ripped out, leaving nothing but a hollow space filled with overwhelming despair and loneliness.

Finished
Every single day since being with Natalie, I had been filled with gratitude for the Moon Goddess’ favor. After all the trials, I truly believed soulmates had finally found each other.
How could I have known that in a mere instant, boundless joy could turn to ashes and dust?
I didn’t go back to the bedroom. Right now, I didn’t know how to face Natalie.
Natalie’s POV:
I barely slept that night.
Leonardo never came back to the bedroom.
In the middle of the night, I heard the front door close from the living room.
A long time later, I fumbled my way out of bed, turned on the bedside lamp, and quietly walked out of the bedroom.
The living room was empty. Leonardo was gone.
I picked up my phone. It was already past 3 a.m.
I thought about calling Miranda, but worried it would disturb her. After hesitating for a long time, I sent Aaron a text message.
If Leonardo left, Aaron must have been the one to pick him up.
Aaron called back quickly, saying, “Mr. Sanchez wasn’t feeling well physically. He didn’t want to disturb your rest, so he headed back to the Sanchez Estate for now.”
Hearing those words sent my mind into a panic. I questioned Aaron about it for a while. He said the doctor had given Leonardo a shot, and Leonardo was already asleep. Only then did I hang up.
Aaron’s POV:
I made up the part about him not feeling well physically. But judging by Leonardo’s pallor, the real trouble was in his heart.
I put my phone down and rubbed my temples with a headache. Not because of the late-night work call, but…
I was really bad at lying.
Leonardo wasn’t fully recovered, and when he called me to pick him up in the middle of the night, I assumed he was going back to the Sanchez Estate.
To my surprise, Leonardo told me to drive to the apartment near the company.
We kept a couple of standalone apartments near the office for convenience, so Leonardo could rest or host important guests when needed.
They were simply furnished but cleaned daily, extremely tidy and comfortable.
Leonardo just told me to get some things ready. He’d be staying here for the next few days-not going

home, and not going back to Natalie’s place either.
During the ride, I tried hinting around, wanting to ask what happened.
But every attempt died before it began.
Leonardo spent the whole trip with his eyes closed, his gloomy aura practically suffocating.
It wasn’t until Natalie texted me asking questions that my suspicions were confirmed.
So they had a fight, huh?

I guessed no couple, no matter how perfect, could avoid arguments-not even a disgustingly sweet newly- bonded pair like Leonardo and Natalie.
Once Leonardo was settled in, he sent me away.
Before I left, he warned me not to say a single extra word.
I understood. He especially didn’t want Natalie to know about this.
Also, arguments worried the family, so Fiona and the others couldn’t find out either.
So when Natalie’s message came, I just had to go along with the story.
I emphasized the “not feeling well physically” part on purpose, thinking Natalie would definitely reach out to Leonardo herself.
But hearing her ask so many detailed questions made me think this fight might be more serious than I thought.
Ah, well. Couples would fight and make up.
It was not like they’d break their bond over one argument, right?
