Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 1312

Debbie was surprisingly cooperative. When Bella brought her a cleaner's uniform, she changed into it without a moment of hesitation.

Lucas managed to lure the casino men away, clearing the path for Bella to drive Debbie out of the city. Bella knew the area well; she had been here before and remembered an abandoned forester's cabin tucked away in the hills.

Despite the isolation of the cabin, she took extra precautions. She set up the tent and other supplies Lucas had purchased inside the ruined structure, wanting to ensure absolute secrecy.

After setting everything up on her own, she waited for Lucas to arrive.

Meanwhile, the moment Bella's group slipped out of the hotel, Marcus Parker's men were already on their tail.

Naturally, the information went straight to Lillian.

"Bella took Debbie out of the hotel and is driving out of the city? Keep a close eye on her. Let's see exactly what she's plotting."

Marcus was a seasoned professional at this. Even before Lillian gave the order, his team was already in pursuit.

"Don't worry, Lillian. Everything is handled."

Right after she ended the call with Marcus, her phone rang again. It was Brandon.

Lillian figured it was about the questions she wanted answered regarding Noah.

Without a second thought, she picked up.

"Lillian, Noah said he saw a severed finger in a package at home, which is why he thought you and Sebastian were murderers. I just called Sebastian to confirm. He said it was a complete misunderstanding, but Noah wouldn't listen to his explanation. Don't worry, right now Noah is..."

Before Brandon could finish his sentence, Lillian cut in. "Alright, I get it."

She knew exactly how much Sebastian despised his biological mother. If he could permanently erase Debbie without getting his own hands dirty and tarnishing his reputation, he would gladly let someone else hold the knife.

Debbie was certainly despicable, but beneath her gambling addiction, she wasn't a cold-blooded killer. Her crimes didn't warrant a death sentence.

Even Old Mr. Blake and Old Mrs. Blake hadn't resorted to lethal measures. For years, their strategy was simply to exile Debbie, keeping her out of sight and out of mind.

Sebastian, however, operated on a far darker level. Lillian could have easily walked away and let him and Bella tear each other apart.

It would be killing two birds with one stone—getting rid of Debbie while sending Bella straight to prison.

But if Bella was locked up, the divorce would proceed flawlessly.

Lillian had no intention of letting Bella off the hook so easily, nor did she want Sebastian's marriage to end that cleanly.
