Bella's face paled. She had no idea why her mother was here, but she suddenly felt like she had been caught red-handed.

Sabrina had, in fact, come to snoop, deliberately choosing a time when she assumed Bella would be at the office.

"I left something in my room, Mom. I just came back to grab it.

"Since you're here, can I come up and see your room?"

Sabrina immediately snapped back, "Whose? Old Mr. Blake? Or the casino?"

"Look how far we've come. We're on the verge of the good life.

"If something happens to you, what am I supposed to do?

"I don't care if that video was real or fake. As long as your hands are clean, I can finally get a good night's sleep.

"You have no idea—I haven't slept a wink since I saw that video yesterday.
