Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 1472

Bella Ward knew Sebastian Blake too well. She knew he cared deeply about his reputation.

If they really made a scene here, the rumors would inevitably reach the elite circles, and he would lose face entirely.

Just a couple of days ago, Lillian Mercer had given him a massive shock. Now, aside from the internet dragging Martin Mercer and Bella through the mud, Sebastian was also the subject of endless gossip.

Even the chatterboxes at the Mercer Group spent their breaks discussing it.

Of course, Bella was the center of the controversy, having heard plenty of mockery and insults with her own ears.

But she didn't care about her reputation. It didn't matter to her.

Sebastian was different. If he wanted to avoid one humiliating scandal after another, his best option was to let her go.

Sebastian glared at her with a predatory gaze. "I'll get the evidence, Bella. Your good days are over."

"Whether my good days are over isn't up to you. Don't forget, Sebastian, I'm still your wife. As long as we aren't officially divorced, I'm tied to you. If my life is a living hell, yours won't be any better."

"Consider your warning received," Sebastian replied coldly. "I'll finalize our divorce within half a month. You won't get a single cent. Walking away with absolutely nothing will be the end of this miserable mistake of a marriage."

Bella ground her teeth in fury. Right now, she despised any mention of money.

She had just lost a massive fortune she had meticulously plotted to get. That money could have cleared all her debts and set her up for a comfortable life. But now? It was all gone. Washed down the drain.

Sebastian gave a subtle nod, and his bodyguards stepped aside. Jaw clenched, Bella walked out.

Lucas was sharp. Seeing her leave, he quickly followed. "Bella, wait up. I still have things to tell you."

With the hallway clear, Sebastian's attention turned entirely to Debbie Harris.

"Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

"In my next life, I'd rather never have children than give birth to a son like you."

Sebastian let out a harsh laugh. "Forget the next life. In this one, I'd rather not exist than be your son. But let's talk about that hand of yours."

He was now almost certain that she had orchestrated the mutilation of her own hand. To chop off a limb just for money—it was a new level of ruthlessness.

He had always known Debbie was capable of anything when cash was involved. She had always been vicious; it wasn't a recent development.
