"It's not that I don't trust them," Lillian clarified. "But they are brand new to this industry. They simply don't have the depth of knowledge required. They've built an incredible facility, and their test samples were flawless, but they lack the years of troubleshooting experience that other manufacturers have. We have to be prepared for contingencies. If they fall behind schedule or if an issue pops up with an order, we need to anticipate it. And frankly, is there anyone besides Celia who can identify those problems the second they arise?"

The room fell silent. She was right.

"Caution is caution," Ethan noted. "But it is strange. My boss has an incredible intelligence network, yet he couldn't dig up anything substantial on the Winthrops' activities overseas.
