Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 1574

"I'm fine, I'm just worried about Bella. A divorce trial is a massive deal—it dictates how she's going to live the rest of her life. If she manages to secure a slice of Sebastian's fortune, we won't ever have to worry about her future. She might even be able to help out the family business."

Sabrina agreed. "The entire internet is tearing Sebastian apart right now. When court is in session tomorrow, the judge will definitely factor that in. Bella is the vulnerable one here; no matter what, the judge is bound to lean in her favor based on that."

"Let's hope so," Martin muttered.

Halfridge Villas.

Over dinner, the group was glued to their phones. It was obvious the internet was even more chaotic tonight.

"Sebastian's luck has really hit rock bottom lately. Why is everyone going after him? The divorce trial is tomorrow, and he's still not defending himself?"

From the very beginning until now, Sebastian truly hadn't uttered a single word in his own defense.

Leonard Prescott answered Ethan Hayes's question. "There's The Blake Pre-Nuptial Agreement. No matter how much noise the internet makes, it won't change a thing."

Lillian Mercer chimed in. "Do you really think he's the type to just sit back and take a beating?"

"Sebastian is ruthless," Ethan replied. "He doesn't seem like the type."

Lillian offered a faint smile. "You guessed right. Since he isn't that type of person, why is he passively taking a beating right now? It means it's not his time to strike back yet. I'm betting that by tomorrow, Bella will be living in hell. Making a comeback will be practically impossible."

Hearing this, Leonard glanced at Lillian.

The smile never left Lillian's face, but she gave a slight nod.

The silent understanding between the two of them made Ethan realize there was something deeper going on.

"Hey, can you two stop communicating in cryptic riddles? You guys might have some telepathic connection, but I'm completely lost."

"Are we sure about tomorrow?" Leonard asked.
