After hanging up, Sebastian was just about to tap the button to transfer the money when Bella walked in and stopped him.

"Sebastian, can we hold off on lending Brandon the money for a bit?"

Sebastian pulled his hand back. "What's wrong? Does he need the money for something else?"

"It seems like he's been fighting with his family for the past couple of days and even moved out to a hotel," Bella explained. "I'm worried that if you send him the money now, it might hurt the unity within the Mercer family.

"Normally, these kinds of family matters are easy to resolve on their own, but if it gets too serious, it could become complicated.

"Sebastian, you understand what I mean, right?"

Sebastian wasn't aware that things had been tense in the Mercer family, nor did he know that Martin and Sabrina had gotten pregnant so soon after their wedding.

But since Bella put it that way, he nodded in agreement.

After all, it was best for the Mercers to resolve their internal issues behind closed doors. Getting him involved wasn't a good idea.

"Alright, let them handle it themselves first," he said. "If Brandon runs into any funding gaps for his business, I'll still help him. He wants to set up a new project team, so you should keep an eye on that too.

"If the Mercer Group can act as a downstream partner for us and help share some of the workload, that would be a good option."

Sebastian had his own reasons when he first agreed to help Brandon.

"I don't know what's going on with Sebastian," Brandon said. "It's been over half an hour, and the money still hasn't arrived."

"What? It hasn't arrived? That's strange. Sebastian always has plenty of liquid assets. His transfers should be fast."

Brandon knew they should be, but the money just wasn't there.

Colin looked at his expression and said reassuringly, "It's okay, let's wait a little longer. Maybe it'll come through soon."
