Shortly after buying the car, Bella received a call from Sabrina.

As soon as she answered, she heard Sabrina say, “Bella, something’s happened. Where are you? You need to go meet up with Brandon and Colin right away and see if there’s anything you can do to help.”

Bella was completely confused. “What happened? Why did something suddenly happen?”

She had just had a quick meal at the Rolls-Royce dealership and was still hungry. How could something have happened that required her help?

Sabrina couldn't explain it clearly over the phone, mainly because she didn't know the full details herself. She had just heard from Brandon that Martin had been arrested by the police for intentional destruction of property and was required to pay for the damages in full. The police had notified the family to come get him, which was how Brandon found out. He was busy dealing with it now.

Sabrina thought about it and felt that no matter what, Bella had to help. Even if she couldn't do much, she had to be there. Otherwise, Martin would be upset when he got out. At times like these, it was important to be seen making an effort.

When Bella heard it had something to do with Lillian, her expression soured. “That annoying pest! Wasn't she already kicked out? She's not even a Mercer anymore, so why is she still causing trouble? And she just got out of jail. Can’t she lie low for a while? How does she manage to stir up so much drama?”

She and Sebastian were about to get married, and the last thing she wanted was for Lillian to cause another problem. If it affected her wedding, it would be a disaster. She had waited so long for this day.

Hannah had a wide smile on her face. “Bella, take me with you. Even if I can’t be of much help, at least I can run errands for you, right?”

Bella immediately understood. “You want to see Brandon?”

“I haven’t seen him in so long. He’s been ignoring me this whole time. But seeing him in person might make a difference. If I can just see him, maybe there’s still a chance.”

Bella didn’t know if there was a chance or not. She had figured out that Brandon was fine with having fun with Hannah, but when it came to anything serious, he probably wasn't interested.
