Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 684

After dealing with her personal belongings, the next items on the list were the antiques, decorative pieces, and valuable jewelry stored in a safe in a separate room.

Lillian held a checklist as she opened the room and had everything inventoried and moved out.

Seeing the enormous pile of valuables, both Bella and her mother stared, their eyes wide.

"I'm sure the three of you still remember these things. You shouldn't need me to point out which ones you bought, right?"

Martin stood up and pointed to several items. They were all antiques, quite valuable, and most had been acquired at auction.

Because of their value, they had been given to Lillian as part of her dowry.

Brandon and Colin had also contributed many items back then, and now they were all here.

Lillian handed the list to Stephen. "Stephen, you handle this."

Half of the dowry items had been given by the three Mercer men—her father and brothers.

The other part, consisting of stocks and cash, Lillian had already returned. So only these physical items remained.

Lillian didn't particularly care for these antiques; they were common enough at auctions.

However, another portion was from her mother's and grandmother's dowries, and those she intended to take with her.

The men Martin had brought with him remembered which items they had purchased, so they immediately had their people collect them.

Lillian then went to open the safe. Accompanied by her bodyguards, she removed over a dozen sets of extremely valuable jewelry.

A bodyguard carried the jewelry out behind Lillian. The Mercers and the Blakes had all seen these pieces before, so they weren't surprised.

But Sabrina and Bella were stunned.

"These… these are so beautiful."

While Sabrina didn't know their value, she could see how stunning they were.

She shot Sabrina an icy glare.

Then, a cold smile touched her lips. "You were the person my grandmother detested most. You have the least right to comment on her things. Besides, why don't you first ask them if I can take these?"

Brandon snapped, "Alright, isn't this embarrassing enough?"

As he spoke, he glared harshly at Martin, his eyes seeming to say, *Get your woman under control.*

Martin glanced toward the Blake elders. It was obvious they held Sabrina in low regard.

They already looked down on her status, and now they despised her pettiness even more.

Old Mrs. Blake whispered to her husband, "Someone so small-minded. Why did she have to come here and make a fool of herself?"

Across the room, Martin finally silenced Sabrina. "My mother divided these things long ago. They were always meant for that disobedient daughter. What's more, the responsibility of caring for my mother will fall to her in the future, so you can just save your breath."
