Hearing their venomous gossip snapped her last thread of sanity. Bella marched straight over to the group, singled out the woman she despised the most, and slapped her viciously across the face—twice.
"Are you bitches done talking?" Bella shrieked. "No matter how much trouble I'm in, I am not someone you worthless sluts can talk down to!
"Don't forget, I am still your superior.
"Furthermore, Sebastian Blake and I are still legally married. I am still the wife of the CEO of the Blake Group!
"Who the hell do you think you are? Cross me again, and I'll have every single one of you fired!"
Bella clung fiercely to her title. Even if public opinion was destroying her, she was still technically the boss's wife. That was an indisputable fact.
She glared down at the gossiping women, relishing the momentary power trip.
She pointed a manicured finger at the woman she had slapped. "Get out. Pack your things and get the hell out of my sight. I'll have Human Resources process three months' severance. Take your vicious tongue and get as far away from me as possible."
After her explosive outburst, Bella turned her lethal glare on the others. "If I hear another word of gossip out of any of you, I will make sure you never work in this industry again.
"Regardless of my current situation, I have more power, talent, and influence than you pathetic nobodies ever will."
Having delivered her threats, Bella spun on her heel and strutted away.
The women were left pale and trembling with indignation, but they didn't dare raise their voices to provoke her further.
After all, none of them had expected Bella to be so incredibly arrogant and brazen while her life was up in flames.
Her reputation might be in the gutter, but at the end of the day, she still held a massive amount of corporate authority.
The reality was completely different now. In the past, everyone had been certain she would become the untouchable lady of the corporation.
Now, after the disastrous wedding and the explosive scandals, everyone knew she was moments away from being a complete nobody.
She had always flaunted her skills and talents, but with the legendary Li suddenly emerging and overshadowing everyone, Bella was utterly insignificant.
Naturally, she had become a joke to them.
While everyone at the Blake Group was eagerly anticipating Bella's total ruin, Lillian Mercer was sitting confidently at the center stage of The Lillionix Press Conference.
The venue was packed to the absolute brim, even grander than the previous Lillionix Grand Launch. Mainstream journalists and independent bloggers crammed into the space, leaving barely any standing room.
Nathan stood at the very back of the hall, gazing affectionately at Lillian on the stage. A proud smile touched his lips. "You're finally willing to claim your throne at the top," he murmured.
