This would be highly beneficial for the algorithm's future development.
But the Mercer family really had no shame, actually having the sheer audacity to demand an eighty percent stake.
Absolute madness.
Leonard Prescott was already furious when he heard the news.
He turned directly to the servants. "Don't even bother talking to them. Tell them to get out, and make sure they stay far away. What kind of people are they? I can't believe they actually had the nerve to ask for that with a straight face."
The servant glanced at Lillian Mercer. Seeing her nod in agreement, they immediately hurried off to kick the lawyers out.
Lillian looked at Leonard with a faint smile. "Why let it get to you? It's not worth getting angry over them. Kicking them out is enough for now. I don't plan on retaliating just yet. When they finally back themselves into a corner, I'll deliver the fatal blow. Only then will this matter be completely resolved. Otherwise, knowing them, they'll never stop scheming."
Leonard took a deep breath. "Why not just bankrupt the Mercer Group and save us all the trouble?"
"Mr. Peregrine said my grandmother might have a chance of waking up in about a month. She spent more than half her life protecting the Mercer Group. Seeing it end up like this would definitely break her heart. Let's wait a little longer. When she wakes up, even if it's just for her to see for herself that the company is truly beyond saving, it won't be too late to make that decision."
Leonard always supported Lillian in these matters.
He sighed helplessly. "I guess they get a little more time to jump around. Just don't let them affect you. No matter what happens, stick to your routine and try not to get too stressed."
Lillian nodded. "I know. Don't worry."
Looking at the security monitors, it was clear the Mercer family's lawyers had been physically chased off the property.
They had made the trip for nothing, failing to even catch a glimpse of Lillian.
"Who cares about the public backlash? With the state the Mercer family is in right now, do I look like I have the luxury to care about public opinion?"
Brandon couldn't be bothered to argue further. Having their lawyers kicked out had already put him in a foul mood.
He stood up and headed back to his own office.
Seeing this, Colin Mercer quickly followed him.
"Brandon, if I had known, we could have just handled this ourselves and saved Dad the trouble. He's been under a lot of pressure lately, and his temper is out of control."
Brandon scoffed. "We're just her brothers. He is her biological father who raised her. We could never pull this off on our own."
