Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 506

Theodore stood guard just outside the bathroom, his hands clenched into tight fists. The scene he had just witnessed played over and over in his mind.

Hatred flared within him. He took out his phone and sent a message.

His phone buzzed as messages were exchanged back and forth.

A moment later, a knock came at the door.

Theodore looked up to see Wilma standing in the doorway.

“Sir, the doctors have arrived,” Wilma said, casting a worried glance at the bathroom door. “The family doctor and… a psychiatrist are both here.”

Theodore acknowledged her and told her to have them wait somewhere comfortable, then looked anxiously at the bathroom door again.

He remembered the period when she couldn't recognize anyone and paused in thought.

He had been by her side this entire time.

He was worried she would be frightened by the sight of other people.

It was obvious that Tyler had terrified her.

Theodore checked the time. She had been in the bathroom for a very long time.

“Emilia?” Theodore called out.

But there was no response from inside.

Theodore’s brow furrowed slightly as he reached out and knocked on the bathroom door.

“Emilia, are you done in there?” he called out again.

Still, there was no answer.

A terrible feeling washed over him.

He knocked on the bathroom door once more, his voice louder this time. “Emilia, are you alright? I’m coming in.”

After a silent three-count, Theodore opened the bathroom door.

He walked in and was met with a horrifying sight.

She was slumped over the edge of the bathtub, having fainted at some point.

Her wrists were the most severe. Tyler had tied her to the headboard, and she had struggled so violently that deep ligature marks were now etched into her skin.

Next were the wounds on her chest, which were self-inflicted.

As the family doctor was still dressing the wounds, Sophia let out a long sigh.

“Dr. Raine, Emilia’s current condition…” Theodore asked worriedly.

“The person who briefed me on the way here wasn’t clear. Mr. Glenn, please tell me exactly what happened,” Sophia requested.

Theodore’s fists were clenched so tight his knuckles were white. He led Sophia aside and recounted the events.

The more Sophia heard, the more her brow tightened.

“Dr. Raine, given the situation, do you think Emilia… will she have any problems?” Theodore asked, his voice filled with concern.

Sophia couldn’t say for sure, only that she would need to observe Emilia more closely once she woke up.

But looking at the state she was in, she suspected the situation wasn't good.

A normal person would feel pain, but seeing how Emilia had harmed herself, combined with what Theodore said about her temporary inability to recognize people…
