“Then I’ll have to trouble you to stay at Glenn Manor for the time being, Dr. Raine,” Theodore said, instructing Wilma and Butler Nathan to make all the necessary arrangements, ensuring the doctor was satisfied with both her accommodations and compensation.
After speaking with Sophia, Theodore returned to the room. As he passed the bathroom, he glanced inside and saw the tub of blood-red water.
Hatred surged within him.
He would make Tyler pay!

Emilia woke up around midnight.
When she opened her eyes, she was momentarily disoriented, unsure of where she was.
As her memory returned, anxiety and fear gripped her once more.
Her heart hammered in her chest, and her breathing grew ragged.
Just then—
“Emilia.” A familiar voice broke the silence, and someone took her hand.
Emilia turned her head and met Theodore’s worried gaze.
He had been watching over her by the bedside.
“It’s okay,” Theodore said softly, squeezing her hand. “I’m here.”
Emilia’s eyes welled up, but she managed a nod.
She looked down and saw the medical tape on the back of her left hand, realizing she must have been on an IV drip while she was unconscious.
“What about Bella?” she asked, her voice hoarse from all the screaming.
Theodore helped her sit up against the headboard and poured her a glass of warm water.
“The driver brought her back,” Theodore said. “She’s asleep now.”
Emilia relaxed slightly at that, then fell silent.
She couldn’t stop the fear. Even knowing she was safe now, she couldn’t control her emotions, as if her body had undergone some fundamental change.
Emilia took a sip of water, and Theodore had the nanny bring up some food.
It was a nourishing soup that was easy to digest.
