Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 510

Tyler was covered in a cold sweat. He gritted his teeth, his jaw aching, as he glared at Theodore’s placid face.

Seeing that Tyler still wasn't answering, Theodore dropped the chair and pressed his right hand down firmly on the spot he had just struck.

This time, Tyler’s face twisted in agony.

But seeing Tyler like this brought Theodore no satisfaction at all.

All he could see was Emilia’s suffering over the past day.

Even though Emilia kept telling him she was fine, he knew she wasn’t.

She never wanted to make others worry, always insisting she was okay and that it was no big deal, but he knew she was not okay.

Far from it.

The two men locked gazes, one with a face of ice, the other contorted in pain.

Theodore didn't let up, keeping pressure on Tyler’s wound. He wanted Tyler to feel pain.

Outside, rain had begun to fall, darkening the sky and dimming the light in the room, leaving only the cold, white fluorescent lights to illuminate the scene.

Finally, Theodore released Tyler’s leg.

Tyler collapsed onto the bed, gasping for breath as if he’d just been dragged out of the water.

Theodore took two steps forward, stopping beside Tyler’s head.

“So now you know what it feels like to suffer?”

His voice was still steady, but it carried a terrifying calmness, a stark contrast to his usual gentle and refined demeanor.

“Now you know pain?”

He spoke evenly, looking down at Tyler.

“When you were hurting her, did you ever once think about how she felt?”

“When she was begging you to let her go, when she was screaming, Tyler, did you ever think about how much pain she was in?”

Tyler was still clenching his jaw, his fists balled tight as he fought against the searing pain in his leg and a disorienting sense of wrongness.

He couldn’t look at Theodore.

“Heh…” The only response Tyler received was a cold laugh from Theodore.

It was dripping with scorn.

The meaning was perfectly clear in that single sound.

How dare Tyler even ask how Emilia was.

Tyler’s face burned with shame.

It stung more than any of the punches he had taken.

“That wasn’t my intention,” Tyler finally managed to say after a long pause.

“Making excuses again,” Theodore stated flatly, his voice like ice. “You have your reasons, it wasn’t your intention, you’re full of regret… and then you just hurt her again?”

Tyler’s jaw was tight. He opened his eyes and met Theodore’s gaze with a defiant glare.

But Theodore only scoffed.

“What’s the excuse this time?” Theodore asked coldly. “You saw her move into Glenn Manor and lost your mind?”
