He was wrong.
He thought there was nothing more he couldn't bear.
But the truth from the safe crashed over him like a tidal wave, dragging him down into a bottomless ocean.
Tyler was still laughing, his grip so tight that his fingernails pierced his palm, blood seeping out and staining the paper.
All for such a stupid, laughable lie... he had done all of this.
Divorce, accidentally killing their child, completely and utterly hurting Emily... he had destroyed everything he once had.
Tyler's eyes were terrifyingly red, but he was still laughing, his voice a mixture of mockery and despair.
It was enough to frighten the assistant standing beside him.
"Mr. Erickson?" the assistant asked worriedly. "What's wrong? Is there a problem? Should I go get Mr. Jensen?"
In the next moment, Tyler looked at the assistant, and in his bloodshot eyes was pure hatred.

Meanwhile, Vivian Floral Atelier was on the verge of being overrun.
An endless stream of people pushed forward.
An endless barrage of questions, accusations, screams, and roars.
Vivienne finally snapped back to reality. She instinctively looked for Jack in the crowd, hoping to turn things around.
But Jack had been swallowed by the jostling crowd and was nowhere to be seen.
All Vivienne could see was Emilia.
"You..." Vivienne began.
"Are you going to say they're fake?" Emilia cut her off, already knowing her answer.
She watched Vivienne falter for a second, saw the malice in her eyes, but did not back down.
"Vivienne, since I was able to produce them, it means I already know everything. And I can prove it."
Vivienne suddenly grabbed a pair of flower-trimming shears from the side. She sobbed, "I don't know how to prove my innocence! What do you want me to do, cut myself open to show you what's inside?"
"Emilia, I swear, my illness is real!" Vivienne yelled. "If it's fake, may I walk out of here and be hit by a car!"
It was a solemn oath.
Sworn in front of everyone.
It made the people on-site and online hesitate, a flicker of doubt returning.
Could there be another twist?
"You don't need to cut yourself open, and you don't need to swear any oaths."
Emilia's voice was calm, but her words plunged Vivienne into a living hell.
She said, "All you need to do is get a medical exam."
"Any hospital will do," Emilia stated, word by word, presenting the simplest solution to everyone. "If one hospital isn't accurate, go to two. If two isn't enough, there are hospitals all over the country, all over the world. Vivienne, if you want to prove your innocence, this is the easiest way."
