His question however, was impossible to ignore. I shrugged, meeting his gaze as I responded; “Nothing would happen.”

“Have you been going around with the triplets? Have you been entertaining them? Gosh, it seemed like you were with how cozy you and Zevran had been the entire evening” He yelled, but it wasn’t his words I was listening to. It was his anger.

“Say that to the investors in the room!” I snapped back, causing him to clamp his lips

shut.

“I wasn’t entertaining Zevran,” I cut in quickly interrupting him, but not forgetting to drag my eyes along his surprisingly well toned face.
