Grayson’s lips curled into a wicked smile, radiating an aura of dominance.Come on, let’s check out the den I prepared for you you like

it or not. A sister needs to be pampered; otherwise, she’ll get bullied.

My wolf responded to his nearness with a low rumble of contentment.

Grayson!Jared roared in anger.

His wolf’s howl, though suppressed, was still a palpable threat.

But Grayson had already taken my paw, leading me inside.

The feeling of his touch, surprisingly gentle, sent a wave of warmth through me.

The next morning, I opened my eyes, surprised to find I felt pretty good.

In my past life, I was still running a high fever, nearly dying.

This time, with herbal remedies and rest, I was fine overnight.

My wolf felt stronger, the lingering effects of the illness banished.

As I headed downstairs, Grayson’s stunning face came into view.

He leaned against the dining table, idly playing with his commstone.

His black wolfskin tunic accentuated his tall figure, exuding an unruly and domineering aura.

His wolf’s presence was powerful, subtly asserting his dominance.

Noticing my footsteps, Grayson lifted his deep, dark eyes to meet mine, a wicked smile creeping onto his face.

Eat quickly; I’ll take you to the Pack Council grounds,he ordered.

His wolf’s scent intensified as he spoke, a subtle show of possession.

No need to bother; I can take the wolfdrawn cart,I replied, feeling a bit shy.

My wolf, however, felt a pang of disappointment;

Grayson’s attention was intoxicating.

But he stood up, radiating a powerful presence.

He gently lifted my chin, forcing me to look into his teasing eyes.

Finally, I can take my sister to the Pack Council grounds. I’ve surpassed the Hayes brothers in everything except having a sister.

Today, they’ll see that Grayson has a sister too!

The confidence of his wolf was palpable, a low hum of triumph resonating from him.

He wanted to show me off.

My wolf felt a blush of warmth spread across my cheeks; the attention was exhilarating.

I thought he was just trying to comfort me, and I felt grateful, silently noting his kindness.

After breakfast, we were ready to leave.

Wait a second, I forgot something,Grayson turned back into the den.

Waiting outside, I noticed the frostcovered trees,

In the cold winter, they stood proudly, radiating a quiet strength.

The scent of the woods was sharp, invigorating.

I was lost in the beauty of the winter landscape when I suddenly heard familiar voices.

Jared and Emily walked by, and I didn’t want them to ruin my good mood, so I quickly looked away, preparing to head back.

Taabella!Emily called out.Are you going to the Pack Council grounds too? Jared can give you a ride since he’s taking me.

Jared, still angry, snorted. My sled doesn’t carry ungrateful pups.

His wolf’s growl was barely contained.

Emily feigned concern, Jared, don’t be like that. Isabella’s been expelled; it’s so sad. It’s freezing, and she’ll be late walking to the Council Grounds.

That’s none of my business,he said condescendingly. If she wants a ride, she needs to apologize. If she’s sincere, I might consider giving her a lift; otherwise, she can walk!

He glared at me, waiting for my apology.

It had been a whole night, and he was giving me an out.

I should apologize properly.

If I did, he might let me return to the pack.

My body trembled at the thought.

I remembered my past life, feverish and weak, but Jared still made me apologize to Emily, threatening me with no ride if I didn’t.

The irony was that I had done it to help him with his hunting competition!

My wolf growled low, remembering the humiliation and betrayal.
