Chapter 218
“What’s going on?” Jared was bewildered, his wolf confused and agitated. He immediately contacted Andrew.
“Andrew, why’s my account blocked?”
Andrew’s voice was frigid, devoid of warmth.“I blocked it. Were you planning to send gifts to that ungrateful Isabella? Don’t even think about it!”
“Andrew, I just…”
“Enough! Remember, Emily is your sister! That ungrateful Isabella has nothing to do with our Miller pack!” Andrew cut him off, the line going dead.
Jared stared at his comm–stone, a wave of unease washing over him. His gaze drifted to my live stream, guilt heavy in his eyes.
Suddenly, a string of numbers–an anonymous ID–appeared. Then, a dazzling fireworks display erupted on my screen, a cascade of golden brilliance engulfing everything.
My wolf yipped excitedly at the sheer extravagance of it.
“Who is this? Unbelievably wealthy! Showering Isabella with gifts!”
“Let me count… how many fireworks are there?”
“Too many! The Howlnet is flooded! This must cost a fortune!”
“Who is this generous stranger?!”
Then, the anonymous ID changed:
*Isabella’s Dear Brother*.
The Howlnet erupted in laughter.
“Which brother is this?”
*Isabella’s Dear Brother: The brother from the Smith pack.
“Hilarious, crazy, and cool all at once!”
“I’m Isabella’s packmate. Heard she lives with the Smiths, but I never knew her brother was this fun!”
“The Miller brothers try to buy popularity? Isabella’s Smith brother is fighting back! Let’s show them what we think!”
Emily took a deep breath, her wolf visibly flinching at the overwhelming negativity.
She plastered on a strained smile.
“Sorry everyone, I wasn’t feeling well. Hope I didn’t worry you.”
The Howlnet exploded with sarcastic replies:“Who cares?” and “You’re shameless, even daring to come back?”
Ignoring the comments, Emily pretended to sketch, her forced calmness a stark contrast to the turmoil within.
On the eve of the New Moon, the air buzzed with the celebratory howls of the pack.
Colorful fireworks lit up the night sky, a breathtaking display.

“Bang!”

A firework exploded outside her window. Emily finally cracked a genuine smile–a predatory smile, her wolf sensing an opportunity.
Another firework burst nearby.
Yes, this was it.
New Moon fireworks were common. If a fire started, it wouldn’t be her fault, right?
Alexander, his wolf filled with a dark, vengeful glee, slipped into the pack yard and lifted a concealing tarp.
Beneath, an arsenal of fireworks lay waiting – more than enough to cause significant damage. His eyes gleamed. These were special order, long–range, high–powered fireworks.
A “surprise” for me.
Alexander carefully aimed one of the tubes at the Smith pack territory, directly at my window.
