Five Alphas Kneel for Me (Isabella) novel Chapter 25

He leaned back, amusement sparkling in his dark eyes, the sunlight casting a shadow across his strong jawline.

He smirked, his lips curving into a teasing grin, his long fingers drumming lightly on the stone table.

Then rinse it down with water. Either way, you have to finish what I brought you today.

His presence was commanding, his Alpha dominance undeniable.

But the warmth of his consideration felt like a balm on my wounded wolf.

But I felt like crying.

The sheer kindness was overwhelming.

I like it, I really do,I mumbled softly, my voice thick with emotion.

In the past, I only saw Grayson as arrogant and overbearing; I had never witnessed him showing such consideration to anyone.

It had been so long since anyone had shown me such kindness.

My wolf relaxed against the surprising comfort of his attention.

After a day of classes, free from the usual conflicts with Emily and my brothers, I felt a sense of peace I hadn’t experienced in years.

As I stepped out of the training grounds, snowflakes began to fall again.

I pulled up the wolfskin cloak Grayson had gifted me, covering my face, only my eyes visible.

At the pack boundary, Emily clung to Jared, her whimpers muffled by the falling snow.

The scent of her distress and Jared’s concern was heavy.

Jared, I missed training and the elder marked me down. What should I do? I told Isabella to help meIf my grades are bad, I won’t get my scholarship

Her tears streamed down her face, breaking Jared’s heart.

He hugged her tightly, gently patting her back, his scent becoming a comforting mixture of reassurance and concern.

Emily, don’t cry. It’s just a missed training. I’ll help you sort it out.

He cupped her face, his thumb tenderly wiping away her tears.

Don’t worry about the scholarship; even if you don’t receive it, we’ll provide for your future training.

We’ll give you anything you want.

I had no interest in watching their brothersister drama unfold.

My wolf felt a surge of nausea.

I skirted around them, maintaining a safe distance,

Even so, Jared noticed me.

His scent shifted, becoming sharper, more dominant.

He frowned, his gaze sharp and accusatory.

Isabella, where are you going? Can’t you see Emily and me? You’re becoming increasingly disrespectful; you don’t Fourth Brother anymore?

I didn’t want to engage with him, so I quickened my pace, my wolf urging me to escape the uncomfortable intensi

Jared, furious, caught up to me, his claws extended, grabbing my arm and yanking me back.

The force of his grip sent me sprawling against the cave wall; a sharp pain shot through my shoulder.

My wolf snarled in pain and rage.

I winced, pressing my paw against the injured area.

The scent of my fear and pain was sharp in the air.
