Chapter 29
Grayson leaned against the boundary stone, his sharp amber eyes glinting with coldnes
His wolf felt a surge of possessive protectiveness towards me.
“If you can’t speak respectfully, then just be silent.” His deep voice dripped with disdain, a low groad rumbling in his chest.
His wolf’s dominance was unmistakable.
Jared, fuming, rushed to the fence separating their territories.
His wolf snarled, itching for a fight.
Grayson just stood there, his tall frame radiating an innate arrogance, a smirk still playing on his lips.
His wolf held a superior posture, radiating confidence and power.
“My sister is a student, too.
My sister has classes to attend.
My sister is busy today; she can’t help others! You claim she’s family, but you don’t even understand this?”
Each time he said “my sister,” his wolf’s possessive instincts flared.
Each time he said “my sister,” it felt like a dagger to the hearts of my brothers! My she–wolf winced at the implicit challenge.
Jared’s face darkened; his fingers clenched into fists, veins bulging, ready to attack Grayson.
His wolf was ready to fight.
“She’s my sister!” Jared roared, his voice thick with fury.
Grayson stroked his chin, a playful glint in his eyes.“Call her ‘sister‘; will she respond?”
His wolf found amusement in the conflict.
“Isabella, come home!” Jared called out, his voice low and filled with frustration.
If she threw another tantrum and didn’t return, he swore he’d disown her! His wolf was desperate to have her back within the pack.
I lowered my eyes, ignoring him.
My she–wolf felt a complex mix of anger, frustration, and a hint of defiance.
Grayson narrowed his eyes, his aura arrogant.
He said indulgently, “Sister.”
His wolf was clearly showing his dominance.
“Brother.”
My voice was soft but firm.
My she–wolf felt a sense of belonging with him.
“Isabella! You’re unbelievable!” Jared was losing control, “If you don’t come back today, never come back!”

His wolf threatened to unleash his full fury.
I stared at him, seemingly torn.
Just as he felt his threat was working, I suddenly said, “Brother, you threw my ceremonial cup; now I have nothing to use.” My she- played it slyly.
Grayson chuckled.
She was sharp–tongued too; he liked it! His wolf found her cleverness endearing.
“Forget it.
It’s soiled now.
I will buy you a new one.”
He would replace it with something better.
I glanced at Jared; it was indeed soiled.
My she–wolf’s keen senses detected the residual scent of rage.
“Okay, thanks, Brother.” My voice was light, a deliberate contrast to the tension.
As I started to return to Grayson’s side, Jared tried to climb the fence.
His wolf’s desperation was evident.
“Jared!” Alpha Caleb grabbed his shirt, pulling him back.
“Isabella, you’ve gone too far,” Alpha Caleb said, adopting a lecturing tone.
“Even if your fourth brother has a quick temper, you need to reflect on your own actions.
If you hadn’t provoked him, would he have reacted like this? We overlooked that you had class, but consider your grades.
They are quite poor; missing one class isn’t catastrophic, you should’ve yielded to Emily.”
His wolf sighed, wishing for a peaceful resolution.
Grayson let out a disdainful click of his tongue, tilting his head slightly, a smirk of sarcasm on his lips.
His wolf’s contempt was apparent.
“The victim–blaming mentality, you’ve truly mastered it.” His words dripped with sarcasm.
