“What? Afraid to wager? Grayson raised his chin, a playful glint in his dark eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. His wolf enjoyed the challenge, sensing Jared’s growing unease.

Are you guilty, afraid to admit her poor scores are due to Emily?” His wolf savored the verbal jousting. “Grayson, don’t provoke them,” Alpha Caleb said sternly, his wolf sensing the rising tension. “Provoke them?” Grayson chuckled, casually brushing back his fur, exuding a carefree swagger.

“What kind of provocation could my sister and you possibly pose for me to escalate?” His wolf reveled in the power dynamic.

Jared clenched his fists; he was sick of Grayson’s superior demeanor! His wolf bristled with barely contained “Fine, I’ll accept your wager.” Jared blurted out, spurred on by Grayson’s taunts.

Alpha Caleb explained.“Jared, the participation points are worth 20 points.

If she lost all of them, even if she aces the trial, she can only get 80.”
