A thrill of triumph surged through my she–wolf form.

My plan was working! But my face quickly shifted to worry as I anxiously said, “How could Fire Pharmaceuticals have problems? Andrew, you need to suppress this quickly, otherwise, Isabella’s gonna be in deep trouble.”

My wolf felt

prickle of unease; the scent of impending chaos filled the air.

In truth, I was overjoyed. After all, once Andrew steps in, he’d turn what I set up into a knockout blow!

My wolf snarled with glee at the thought of Isabella’s downfall. Maybe next time we met, I’d be behind bars!

“I’m supposed to cover for her?” Andrew snorted coldly, a ruthless smile curling his lips. “No way. I’m not just ignoring it–I’m gonna pour gasoline on the fire!” His wolf’s dominance was unmistakable, a raw power that resonated with my own inner beast.

I bit my lip, lowering my voice with a hint of pleading,

“But if the drugs have problems, and an investigation ensues, Isabella… she might be fuined, even banished from the pack!” My wolf whimpered, a pathetic sound even to my own ears.

Then I glanced at Mason, his powerful alpha presence radiating confidence, even concern.

“Besides, Isabella just took over Fire. If this blows up, it might drag Mason’s reputation through the mud.” My voice was soft, expressing concern for everyone, making myself appear unfairly victimized.

My wolf, however, knew the truth

Andrew’s eyes narrowed.“Stole? That was always yours.”

He glanced towards Mason and cut off the conversation.

His wolf sensed Mason’s strength, a rival that needed to be carefully navigated. “Since you’ve joined the Millers, you’re our sister. It’s only right for us to care for you. Stop saying such things.”
