Five Alphas Kneel for Me (Isabella) novel Chapter 388

Chapter388.

Grayson and I were glued to the howlnet live stream. Grayson dismissed Andrew’s warning with a careless sneer. My eyes, though, were locked on Mason in the corner of the screen.

The hewolf had his muzzle covered, held down by some pack enforcers, just standing there like a trapped animal. My wolf felt a strange mix of satisfaction and unease. With Andrew’s warning hanging in the air, those loudmouth influencers and reporters suddenly got cold feet. I had only instructed them to gather at White&Beauty Cosmetics; I hadn’t appeared myself. They had no clue there was a standoff behind the scenes with me, Grayson, and the Miller family. No wonder they were shaky. Hearing Andrew’s reprimand, many began to hesitate.

Even if the Miller family is powerful and wealthy, our faces

Emily stepped forward, her eyes redrimmed. It’s our fault, I’ll take the loss and punishment.

I smirked watching the stream. As always, Emily preferred others to take the fall for her while she remained the good shewolf. In the distance, the sound of approaching pack patrols grew closer. A pack patrol vehicle, flashing lights, pulled up to the Miller family den. Two enforcers got out; and the crowd parted for them. Mason’s eyes widened in disbelief; he couldn’t believe his brother really went that far to get him brought before the Pack Council! The blood drained from his face; his body began to struggle violently, more intensely than before. But the pack enforcers, however, gave him no chance. Their movements were swift and efficient; they practically lifted Mason, ignoring his struggles and whimpers, shoving him into the vehicle without mercy.

Bang. The door slammed shut. The legal rep of White&Beauty Cosmetics was already cuffedalso part of the accepting punishmentdeal. The crowd, warned by Andrew, didn’t dare to pressure Emily further, but their anger had nowhere to go. The pack patrol vehicle sped away, and they jumped into their own mounts, tailing it. I stared at the disappearing vehicle on the screen, my lips pale and tight.

My wolf watched, coldly assessing the scene.

I watched the disappearing pack patrol vehicle on the screen, my lips pressed together, devoid of color. In my past life, I was the one gagged, pinned by two big guys, taking the fall for Emily, shoved into a pack patrol vehicle. Now, the scene was the same, only the protagonist had changed.

A bitter satisfaction tinged my wolf’s thoughts.

The pack patrol vehicle stopped in front of the Pack Council; the door was flung open, and Mason was dragged out. He was led towards the Council, his eyes vacant. Just as he was about to step in, someone yanked him back and slapped him hard across the face. The influencers ruined by Jade Porcelain Skin’s products had followed him here, faces swollen or blistered, like a pack of vengeful ghosts, surrounding him instantly.

You’re so heartless! You added allergens for profit!

Mason! Give me back my face!

You’ve hurt so many people! You will pay!

Sharp accusations and blows rained down like hail. The two enforcers couldn’t hold back the furious mob, couldn’t pull them apart. Mason clutched his head, his muzzle trembling, trying to explain, It wasn’t meI only invested; I wasn’t involvedHis voice, raspy from the beating, was lost in the angry shouts. An influencer nearby

heard him. Her face still throbbed. In the past, she’d feigned allergies to extort smaller cosmetics companies. Now, her face was actually ruined. Thinking she wouldn’t be able to make money using her face again, her anger couldn’t be contained. Hearing Mason’s explanation, she slapped him across the face. His head buzzed.

What do you mean you just invested? You put in money to make profit, right? You want to earn but don’t control quality? You don’t care about consumers! And you still have the nerve to lie? I’ll beat you to death!

The crowd agreed; their attack intensified. Slaps and fingernails rained down on Mason’s face. Mason was like a tiny boat in a storm, rocked violently by pain. He curled up, his arms shielding his head and face.

Go after Emily, it was herHis denial was feeble, fueling the crowd’s rage. In the chaos, someone grabbed his hair, exposing his face. More blows rained down, relentless and vengeful. Stars exploded in his vision, consciousness fading. In the haze, he saw the same scenebut the victim was me. I was surrounded, shoved, accused, terror and confusion on my face as I shook my head desperately.

I didn’t do it, I don’t know anything. I’m in R&D, but Jade Porcelain Skin wasn’tMy voice was choked with sobs, helpless and desperate. In the distance, my brothers sat in a vehicle, comforting a tearful Emily, occasionally glancing coldly at me getting beaten.

Bang!Another blow hit Mason’s gut, pain jerking him back from his flashback. The angry faces of the influencers screamed insults, piercing his ears. He looked up, instinctively searching the direction where his brothers sat. He instinctively looked towards the direction of his brothers in his memory. Then he saw me, sitting in Grayson’s vehicle, eyes sharp with disgustthe same look he’d just seen in his mind, only colder, more hateful. No! Don’t look at him like that, Isabella, come and save me!His desperation made him shout. Who else do you want to call for help?!

You ruined our lives! Who do you think will save you?!As the angry crowd roared these words, Mason was finally pushed to the ground. These words, these scenes, strangely overlapped with the images of me in his mind. Now, he was the one being pinned down, and I was watching him, offering no help. Mason felt the bonechilling coldness of being abandoned, being made a scapegoat. His mind blurred, reality and memory merging into a nightmare. He only knew that this hurt. Being wrongly accused, being beaten, was excruciating. Mason’s body trembled with pain, but his eyes lost focus. The angry faces of the influencers and the image of my tearful, defiant face began to alternate, blurring into one. Mason’s consciousness faded, his body went limp, letting the blows fall without resistance or protest. Finally, the enforcers struggled to break up the crowd and dragged the halfconscious Mason through the cold Pack Council doors. My wolf felt a flicker of dark satisfaction, but underneath, a cold dread lingered.

This was only the beginning.
