Five Alphas Kneel for Me (Isabella) novel Chapter 524

As Alpha Carson finished speaking, he seemed to remember something else. He glanced back at Wendy and Lola, who were still frozen by the door like statues of salt. Isabella and I have important matters to discuss,he told them, his Alpha voice leaving no room for negotiation. You two can go on

ahead.

Then, he and I left together.

The dismissal was like a match to a powder keg. I could almost feel the fury ignite inside Wendy, her scent turning acrid and sharp with suppressed

age.

Carson, her Alpha and mate, wouldn’t even go to Lola’s celebration feast! And he claimed he had a big project to discuss with me!

What big project could he possibly have to discuss with a shewolf who had just returned to the pack?

The favoritism was so blatant, it was practically howling.

ola watched Carson and me leave, tears welling in her eyes, then looked at Wendy with a wounded expression. Nala, my wolf, felt a flicker of redatory satisfaction. Let the pup whine, she thought. She hasn’t earned this territory.

Vendy’s chest heaved with suppressed anger. She grabbed Lola’s hand and turned, walking away toward the elevators without a single word.

nside Carson’s private chairman’s office.

handed the scrolls and documents to Carson.

Carson read them with extreme focus, his eyes narrowing as he absorbed the data. The more he read, the brighter the amber light in his eyes grew.

He closed the proposal, his voice thick with barely concealed excitement. Isabella,he said, This targeted drug of yours for BloodCore health has mmeasurable market potential! Once successful, it will be a **** in the entire healing arts of the clans!

He’d always seen me as just a little shewolf who needed the Grant family’s protection. But the look in his eyes now, it clearly showed his surprise, as if e was just realizing that I’d quietly grown into a towering tree, fully capable of standing on my own in the hierarchy.

Carson exclaimed, genuine admiration coloring his voice, The Grant family will reach new heights with this project!

I have one condition,I said, my voice steady. I want you, Uncle, to give this project solely to Leo. Let him start his own subclan company with it, as

way to get some experience.

knew the immense potential of this targeted drug, and I made this request hoping that if Uncle couldn’t sever the blood bond with his wife, Wendy, in ime, and the Grant lineage fell, this new company could serve as a spark for their future.

thought I’d have to argue my case, that it would take more effort to convince the Alpha.

But to my surprise, Carson only paused for a moment before agreeing.

didn’t realize it then, but Uncle Carson had already noticed the strange shifts in Wendy’s behavior, sensing her growing disloyalty to the pack laws. He had come to the same conclusion as me: Start a new venture, not just for practice, but as a potential safeguard, a sparkto keep the Grant family egacy alive if the main branch was compromised.

00,

He hadn’t mentioned anything about Wendy to me, likely because it was too difficult to admit aloud that his mate’s heart was straying from her duty

I couldn’t bring myself to speak of my past life, yet, without knowing it, we were both preparing for the same inevitable future.

We discussed the cooperation for a while longer, and by the time Uncle Carson closed the file, it was already lunchtime

You can discuss the rest with your cousin,he said. Come on, I’m treating you to lunch today. What are you in the mood for, Isabella)He rose from his seat as he spoke.

Just then, my communicator buzzed to life.

I pulled it out, and the name Graysonpulsed on the screen. A warmth crept into my cheeks, and Nala gave a playful, mental yip. The Alpha she whispered.

Even though we were official, I still hadn’t changed Grayson’s contact name.

I quickly glanced at Uncle Carson, then subtly turned my body slightly and answered the call.

Hello?

The moment I answered, his voice, deep and laced with a touch of vulnerability, came through the device.

Isabella, I miss you.

Menu

It was only a few simple words, but they fluttered through me like a feather, delicately tickling my heart. My wolf purred, the sound vibrating in my

chest.

Are you done with what you’re doing? I’m starving. His voice held a playful, almost whiny edgea side of the powerful Alpha Grayson that only I

saw,

My face grew even hotter, especially under Uncle Carson’s knowing, smiling gaze. I swore even the tips of my ears were burning.

II’m still busy,I managed, lowering my voice, my cheeks burning with embarrassment.

Carson watched my flustered, embarrassed self, and I knew there was no hiding anything from a seasoned Alpha like him.

He chuckled, walking closer, and deliberately raised his voice. Is that Grayson on the phone?

I was so mortified, I wanted to disappear into the nearest crack in the floorboards.

Carson only laughed harder. He spoke in the direction of my communicator, Isabella, you can always have dinner with your uncle. Go on, go on your date! Don’t keep Grayson waiting.

I knew Grayson, on the other end of the line, had heard him.

A low chuckle carried clearly through the receiver, tinged with a smug, lazy drawl.

Uncle Carson already gave his blessing, Isabella. So, why don’t I just join you for dinner? I’m right downstairs at the Grant Citadel anyway.

The nerve of that hewolf!

I couldn’t take it anymore. I quickly blurted out to Carson, Uncle Carson, I’m leaving now!

Without waiting for him to reply, I hung up the phone and practically fled the office.

That hewolf, honestly!

I had to go down there and give him a piece of

my mind.

A strange mix of annoyance and amusement bubbled inside me as I clicked into the elevator in my heels. My wolf was doing mental somersaults, eager

to scent him.

As the elevator glided smoothly down, the polished silver walls reflected my faintly flushed cheeks.

I was still wondering how I should even start when I saw himshould I confront him with a stern face, or just laugh at his nerve?

The elevator dingedas it reached the ground floor, and as the doors slid open, the bright light and the noisy hum of pack members flowing through the lobby flooded in.

My eyes landed on him immediately.

He was leaning against that eyecatching black spiritsteed sedan parked by the entrance, no jacket, just his black suit, collar unbuttoned two buttons down, giving him a casually disheveled look that screamed dominance.

Pack members flowed all around him, a constant stream of movement, yet he seemed to exist in a different world, standing there in quiet stillness, his aura carving out a space that no one dared to intrude upon.

All the righteous indignation I’d been brewing, all the sharp questions I’d rehearsed, suddenly deflated by half. His scentrainsoaked earth and old forestreached me, and Nala practically fainted with longing.

As if he felt my eyes on him, he lifted his head, his gaze slicing through the scattered people and finding mine with unsettling precision.

A small smile played on his lips the moment he saw me, and he pushed off the car, straightening to his full height.

He covered the distance between us in just a few long strides.

I barely had time to open my mouth, no word escaping.

Meru

Before I knew it, I was enveloped in his embracesolid and warm, carrying that faint, familiar scent I knew so well. I could feel the ripple of his muscles through his shirt, the sheer power of an Alpha held in check just for me.

Then, a featherlight kiss brushed my forehead.

Grayson looked down at me, his eyes crinkling with a hint of helpless amusement.

You look like you’ve lost weight again.

He sighed, then reached for my hand, his fingers naturally lacing through mine until our hands were perfectly interlocked.

“Come on, I’m taking you to get some food. I need to fatten you up a bit.

Grayson opened the car door for me, settling me inside, before circling around to the driver’s side and starting the engine.

I noticed the car wasn’t heading towards the territory hub; instead, we were driving out into the forest outskirts.

I watched the scenery outside the window grow increasingly familiar, and a flicker of confusion hit me. This looked like the road to the Grant family’s ancestral estate.

Aren’t we going to eat?I asked.

We are, Grayson replied, his gaze fixed on the road ahead, a hint of a mysterious smile playing on his lips. I’m taking you somewhere special.

About fifteen minutes later, the car passed the villa complex where the Grants lived, continuing deeper into the wilderness.

The trees here cast deep shade, and the moment we drove in, the oppressive summer heat seemed to dissipate, replaced by a refreshing coolness that only ancient forests possess.

The car continued deeper, eventually rolling into a sprawling estate, tucked against the mountains and bordered by water.

I had never known the Southern Pack territories had a place like this.

Finally, the car pulled up in front of a truly magnificent, classically styled villa, radiating an oldworld charm, built of heavy stone and dark timber. The villa commanded the absolute best view of the valley. Before its entrance, a massive boulder bore three sprawling characters, carved with a powerful, artistic flourish: Lanyue Bay.’

I turned my head to Grayson, my eyes silently asking a million questions.

Grayson unbuckled his seatbelt, then leaned over, reaching to release mine too.

His warm breath ghosted against my ear as he murmured, I had this place built. No neighbors, no pack politics to bother us.

With that, he got out of the car and walked around to my side, opening the door for me.

My ear felt hot, and I instinctively flinched away, my wolf pacing with nervous excitement, I turned, fumbling with my seatbelt, using the movement to put a little more space between Grayson and me.

My foot had barely touched the ground when I felt a sudden tightening around my waist. Before I could even react, Grayson had swept me up into his arms in a classic display of Alpha strength.

Only when Grayson set me down did I notice two rows of staffall pack membersstanding by the villa entrance.

Grayson! What are you doing?! Put me down!I gasped, my arms flying around his neck instinctively, my cheeks flaring crimson instantly

I can walk myself.
