Grayson’s fingertips brushed lightly against me.
My eyelashes fluttered, and I slowly opened my eyes. My wolf stirred within me, instantly recognizing the revitalized Alpha pheromones radiating from the he–wolf before me,
“Awake?” I mumbled, rubbing my eyes, my voice still a little husky,
“Mm.” Grayson’s gaze, intense as an unbreakable telepathic net, locked onto me, holding me captive.
I bolted upright, my hand immediately going to his forehead, then my eyes darted to the monitors beside him tracking his post–Blood–Core Replacement stability.
“How are you feeling? Is anything hurting?”
Grayson didn’t answer right away. Instead, he turned my hand over in his, bringing it to his lips for a soft, lingering kiss. My internal wolf purred at the contact, the fated–mate spark crackling between our skin.
Tm good.”
His voice was deep and strong, resonating with a sense of peace I’d never heard from him before, a quiet assurance that settled something deep inside
Tve never felt this good.”
His declaration resonated deep within me. It was as if the persistent shadow that had haunted his mind–the looming threat of a fractured wolf–spirit–had finally vanished, completely gone.
He was brimming with a vibrant, long–lost Alpha strength.
I looked at the renewed spark in his eyes, and the heart that had been suspended for so long finally settled.
I smiled.
Grayson looked at my smiling face, his heart stirred, and with a slight pull of his arm, he drew me into his embrace.
“Isabella.”
“Hm?”
“I love you.”
Grayson tightened his arms, holding me tighter. His wolf seemed to vibrate against my own, a silent chorus of devotion.
I melted into his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart. I tilted my head back just enough to meet his gaze, ready to truly connect with him.
“I love you too.”
The next day.
Long before dawn, the circular glass Grand Pack Hall in the suburbs of the Silvermoon territory was already a breathtaking sight. Exotic plants from across the various clan lands had been flown in, transforming it into an absolute wonderland.
From nine in the morning, an endless stream of guests started arriving, each one holding a heavy, gilded invitation that practically gleamed with the importance of the Ancient Wolf Pact.
These weren’t just any guests; they were the absolute elite from every pack and clan, each one an Alpha or high–ranking Beta capable of shaking the entire werewolf society with a single move.
And they were all here for this – to witness our Blood Bond ceremony.
Then, a sleek black transporter, outwardly understated, yet with a marking that screamed supreme pack power, glided to a slow stop at the entrance.
The transporter door opened, and out stepped a surprisingly spry old he–wolf, dressed in a sharp, traditional suit, a carved dragon–head cane clutched firmly in his hand.

< Chapter 644
Despite his advanced age and the many winters he had led his people, his eyes remained as sharp as an eagle’s, holding an inherent Alpha authority that commanded respect without a single word or frown.
It was Old Alpha Grant himself.
Right behind him was my eldest uncle, Carson, the current patriarch of the Grant Clan.
He wore a perfectly tailored suit, his expression typically serious, and he radiated an aura of unwavering integrity and dependability.
“Dad, please, take your time,” Carson said, stepping forward to carefully steady Old Alpha Grant.
But Old Alpha Grant merely waved him off, his sharp gaze sweeping across the breathtakingly opulent decor laid out before us.
A soft smile played on his lips.
“Quite the display, isn’t it?” I heard him remark, a low chuckle rumbling in his chest.
He sounded almost amused by the sheer extravagance. For just a Blood Bond engagement, the scale of it truly was astounding.
It was even grander than the one he’d thrown for Evan, his eldest grandson, not long ago–a fact I knew would secretly please him, despite his feigned nonchalance.
I knew Grandpa didn’t see this as Grayson trying to outshine the Grant Clan.
Grayson was the true leader of the Smith Clan, after all, and considering how much he adored me as his fated mate, this grand celebration felt perfectly natural.
Two more young Alphas stepped out of the transporter.
One was refined and wore gold–rimmed glasses my eldest cousin from the Grant Clan, Evan.
The other, my second cousin Grant Logan, had a wild, untamed air about him, a devil–may–care smirk playing on his lips.
“Grandpa,” Grant Logan said with a laugh,“this display! Grayson must have pulled out all the stops, spending his entire fortune just to make our Isabella happy.”
My aunt their paternal aunt–now only had Miles and me as her pups.
And seeing their little cousin, me, so loved and cherished, well, that just made their wolves happy.
“Happy!” Grandpa echoed, his eyes twinkling.
Evan adjusted his glasses, his tone measured.“Let’s go in. We shouldn’t keep Isabella waiting.”
The group entered the Grand Hall, and a designated Beta attendant immediately led them to the most distinguished main table.
Faye was already waiting there.
“Alpha Grant, Mr. Grant, young masters, welcome.”
Carson nodded, his gaze sweeping across the room. He asked in a low voice, “Where’s Grayson?”
“He’s currently with the lady, he’ll be right over.”
Carson’s lips curved into a smile; he showed no displeasure that Grayson hadn’t come out to greet them.
The young couple was clearly smitten with each other, their pheromones already beginning to entwine, and they were the kind of elders who understood such things.
“As long as he’s keeping Isabella company, that’s all that matters.”
The attendant led them to the main seats in the front row.
Once they were seated, the hall lights suddenly dimmed.
Every eye in the room was involuntarily drawn to the end of the narrow path, paved with white crystals, that led to the central stage.
A single spotlight flared to life.
And then, I was there.

< Chapter 644
MAR
I was wearing a galaxy–colored gown, personally designed by Grayson. Countless tiny diamonds sparkled across the skirt like stars under a full moon, and with every step I took, it was as if the entire Milky Way swirled around me.
My long hair was swept up, revealing the elegant curve of my neck and the unmarked skin where the Blood Bond would soon be sealed. My face, adorned with delicate, refined makeup, made it impossible to look away.
A profound silence descended upon the entire room.
Everyone was stunned speechless, captivated by the breathtaking beauty.
And there, at the other end of the path, Grayson stood, a quiet anchor in his matching suit.
His eyes cut through the swirling crowd and the dazzling lights, finding mine, locking on as if I were the only she–wolf in the universe.
The usually cool, commanding depths of his dark Alpha eyes were now overflowing with such tenderness and adoration, it stole my breath.
It felt like I was the only thing he saw in the whole world.
I lifted my skirt, each step bringing me closer to my mate.
I saw Carson watching us, and even his serious face had softened, just a fraction.
I noticed Old Alpha Grant’s grip on his cane loosen, his eyes growing slightly red–rimmed.
It was as if he was reliving the day his youngest daughter, Nick, entered her own Blood Bond, and a wave of bittersweet nostalgia washed over him. Carson, too, seemed lost in thought about his sister, a shadow of pain crossing his face.
I knew he must be wishing his sister were here to see me walk down the aisle.
Still, Carson held it together. Old Alpha Grant, though, being older, was clearly more susceptible to tears. Carson quickly offered him a handkerchief. “Isabella will definitely be happy,” he murmured.
And I knew he was right. Grayson wasn’t like Gavin, driven by ulterior motives. Grayson’s love for me felt so much purer, a true fated–mate
connection.
Grandpa Grant nodded emphatically, taking a few deep, calming breaths to steady himself.
Finally, I stood before Grayson.
Grayson reached out his hand for mine.
I slipped my hand into his.
