Chapter 206
“Vance, I’m here! Save me!” Catherine screamed.
“Cathy, it’s okay! Don’t be afraid! I’m here!” Vance’s voice turned frantic.
Moments later, he appeared at the top of the stairs on the 11th floor. Sweat had soaked through his shirt, and his usually kempt hair stuck to his forehead.
The first thing he did was stare at Catherine. “Cathy, are you okay? Did they hurt you?”
She just cried and shook her head. Vance relaxed, turning to Malcolm, “You’d better not have touched a single hair of her!”
“Interesting,” Malcolm laughed.
“We’re only after money. Cash first, then we talk,” Elliott said.
Malcolm yanked Catherine to her feet and pressed a knife to her throat.
“What are you doing?” Vance yelled. “Let her go!”
Malcolm sneered, “Throw the money over first, then we’ll talk about releasing anyone.”
“Release her first!” Vance demanded.
“Well then, let’s play a fun little game.” Malcolm exchanged a look with Elliott, and the latter dragged
Rebecca out of the corner.
Vance’s expression shifted. “Why are you here?”

Still with the gag in her mouth, she couldn’t answer. But seriously? He had been upstairs for this long and only just noticed her? Even though she was in the corner behind several kidnappers, his focus on Catherine had been that complete?
“Mr. CEO, which one of them is your wife?” Malcolm smirked.
Vance understood instantly, especially since Soren was there too. Clearly, the old man had sold him out and pointed them to kidnap Rebecca.
But something had gone wrong. They ended up taking both women.
“What do you want?” Vance frowned.
“Pick one. Who do you want to save?” Both men pressed knives to the women’s throats and stepped closer together.
“Let me go!” Rebecca struggled, breaking free.
She rushed toward the open window frame that had no glass. Elliott grabbed her. “Are you crazy, trying to kill yourself? Go ahead! Jump!”

He dragged her to the edge so she could see the height. Jumping from there was sure death.
“Don’t mess around. She’s the real wife,” Malcolm warned.
Killing her meant no money.
Elliott yanked Rebecca back and pressed the knife to her face. Malcolm did the same to Catherine and grinned at Vance. “Take a pick, Mr. Bradford.”
Vance’s gaze flicked between the two women.
Catherine started crying again. “Pick Rebecca. Don’t worry about me. Pick her!”
Rebecca didn’t even bother speaking. She already knew the answer. Of course, he would pick Catherine.
Vance’s eyes were stormy. “I’ll pay you double for both of them.”
Malcolm roared with laughter. “No tricks here. I’m just collecting a debt. If I take double, I’ll be committing a crime.”
“Pick one. We’ll keep the other until we’re safe.” Elliott pressed the blade tighter against Rebecca’s cheek.
“Wait!” Vance said urgently. “Let them go and take me.”
“You think this is a movie?” Elliott scoffed. “Why would we trade two women for one big guy like you?”
“You said it yourself-collecting a debt. Take the cash and leave. Why complicate it?” Vance said coldly. ” If you really need someone to go with you, take him.”
He pointed at Soren, who had been playing dead for a while.
“No, don’t. I don’t want to go with them. Save me!” he pleaded, scrambling up, only to be kicked back
down by the other men.
“Enough games,” Elliott said, “Mr. Bradford, just throw the money over.”
Vance looked at the ten-plus men facing him. Fighting was pointless; paying was the cleanest solution. But if they double-crossed him…
“Don’t trust us?” Malcolm smirked. “Here is an idea. You’ve got two suitcases. Toss one over, and we release one person. Who do you want to be freed first?”
“Rebecca first, Vance!” Catherine shouted.
“Shut your mouth!” Malcolm tightened his grip on her neck and pressed the knife against her cheek. Scream again, and I’ll ruin that pretty face!”
