However, the rehearsal hall was designed solely for dance training, not therapeutic recovery. The primary issue lay in the absence of appropriate equipment.

Rebecca analyzed the rehabilitation videos, devising modifications for each exercise to suit her present circumstances and surroundings.

At the clinic, nurses had aided her. Now, operating solo, she tumbled repeatedly. Within moments, she was sweating profusely, her body throbbing with discomfort.

“Rebecca!”

Following another fall, a compassionate voice came from behind her, paired with supportive hands lifting her, just as in the old days at the dance academy.

“Lauren.” She felt somewhat apprehensive, then nodded at Desmond, who had come together with

Lauren.

She wanted to pursue rehabilitation, but she didn’t want anyone to know, afraid of failed recovery and dashed expectations.

Lauren shook her head in disapproval. Rebecca mistook it for skepticism about her recovery and felt a pang of disappointment.

That was fine. She hadn’t harbored grand illusions anyway. She mustered a smile, though the situation

felt somewhat uncomfortable.

“You foolish girl, how can you attempt this without safeguards? Are you aiming to turn yourself into a bandaged mess?” Lauren sighed. “With the entire touring troupe at your disposal, including several support personnel, why not seek assistance? If you’re hesitant to ask others, why not me? We share accommodations, after all.”

“Me too. My performance wrapped up today. I’ll train with you tomorrow,” Desmond said.

Rebecca blinked, finally understanding the situation. Lauren wasn’t denying her efforts or thinking they

were pointless. 4

Tears welled up in her eyes. “Lauren, Desmond, I…”

Lauren advanced, enveloping her in a hug. “Learn to seek help. Don’t shoulder everything on your own.”

Rebecca stiffened, recalling the timid version of herself who had lived warily in Vance’s shadow, silently processed everything on her own, and never dared to seek his help for fear of troubling him or losing his

love.

“Alright, that’s sufficient for today. I was wondering if you’d lost your way.” Lauren grasped her hand. ” Let’s go back and rest. We can continue tomorrow.”

“Rebecca, were you referencing a video for those routines?” Desmond asked as they walked. “May I take

“Sure, it’s from the clinic.” Rebecca shared it with him.

When Desmond found her the next day, he had pronounced dark circles under his eyes. It turned out he had worked overnight to refine the rehabilitation program.

“Due to the time limits, I only managed to adjust a handful of movements.” He demonstrated the revisions and forwarded the video to her. “I consulted an expert last night and asked him to optimize it based on your condition. It was streamlined and adapted, but the efficacy is the same.”

Rebecca was astonished. “Thank you and that expert so much.”

“No worries. He’s on good terms with my family and is eager to see the results.” In a way, you’re serving as a guinea pig,” he joked.

She laughed, entirely amenable to being that experimental subject.
