Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 295

Chapter 295

Rebecca’s whole mind was on Josette. She didn’t want to hear anything irrelevant.

“Who is he?” Vance’s glare drilled into Gabriel.

Before she could answer, Gabriel stepped in front of her protectively.

“Rebecca, let’s go,” he said, barely glancing at Vance.

“Stop!” Vance blocked their path, glaring at Gabriel but speaking to Rebecca. “Any news on Josette?”

“This doesn’t concern you, sir,” Gabriel said calmly.

The night wind lifted his black coat as he shielded Rebecca behind him, his presence suddenly commanding.

Vance laughed coldly. “Doesn’t concern me? Where did you crawl out from? Ask her who I am to her. Ask her if it concerns me. Do you even know who I am?”

“I do,” Gabriel answered indifferently. “Vance Bradford, who is about to become her ex-husband, right?”

Vance fumed. “What the hell? That’s not happening. Rebecca, come here.”

The command rolled off his tongue automatically. In the past, she had listened to his every word. Even now, angry as she was, he was certain that on something this important, she would make the right

choice.

But she didn’t move, tired of this whole entanglement. Josette was still missing, and nothing else

mattered now.

“Let’s go,” she said, slipping her arm through Gabriel’s.

“Rebecca!” Vance’s eyes locked on her arm. “Where are you going?”

Neither of them answered, but their cold shoulders said it all: “None of your business.”

“You sure you don’t want to come home with me?” He caught up again and grabbed her hand.

“Josette is missing, and I’m losing my mind. Can you stop this?” she sulked.

“I understand.” His tone softened. “I know you’re terrified. I am too, That’s why we should be working together to find her instead of fighting here.”

But there was nothing left to say. She struggled. “Let go. I’m leaving.”

He held on, shaking his head. “You’ve been away for a whole month. Don’t you miss home? Nancy quit, and I’ve been cleaning the house myself. It looks exactly the way you left it. Come home, okay?”

“Don’t you get it?” Her patience snapped. “Do you really think that place is my home? The passcode is Catherine’s birthday. The whole décor is everything she loves. You call that my home? I hate it!”

He was stunned.

“Mr. Bradford, let go and keep this dignified.” Gabriel pried Vance’s fingers off one by one, then led Rebecca away.

“Rebecca!” Vance watched her climb into the car, standing frozen in place until a police officer called out.

He snapped back, remembering his mission. Finding Josette was the top priority now.
