Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 325

Chapter 325

Catherine knew well that the studio only accepted returning clients. She’d been turned away here before, but the forbidden fruit always looked the sweetest.

It was just a small designer studio in Soliaridge. She could buy any big international brand she wanted, yet a small designer was putting on airs.

By chance, Sonia was a regular customer here, so through Aiden, she had asked Sonia to bring her along.

Since she had visited the studio once, she didn’t think the staff would have any impression of her.

But the assistant did remember her. “I’m sorry, ma’am, but that gown is already reserved.”

Catherine wasn’t blind. The assistant was standing right beside Rebecca.

“Rebecca, would you mind if I tried this one on?” she asked deliberately, then turned back to the assistant. “We go way back. She’ll let me have it.”

Rebecca blinked, stunned by her brazenness.

In the lounge, Gabriel watched the scene unfold with rising disgust. That woman seemed to have forgotten her days in that basement.

He started to stand, but Derek pressed him down. “Easy, big bear. Just chill and watch.”

Derek saw him frown and added, “Trust me. Rebecca can handle it, and my employees are no pushovers.

Just watch the show.”

His voice was low, so those outside couldn’t hear him.

As Rebecca stayed silent, Catherine pulled Sonia forward. “I came with Sonia. She’s one of your regulars. Can I try the gown now?”

“I’m sorry,” the assistant repeated, unruffled. “You might not have heard me, but this gown is already

spoken for.”

“I heard you,” Catherine laughed, bright and brittle. “Rebecca said I could have it.”

She looped her arm through Sonia’s and smiled at Rebecca. “I came with Sonia to pick gowns for the banquet hosted by Rossi Enterprises. You know that global powerhouse, right? They’re establishing operations in Soliaridge and looking for local partners. Their business overlaps with Vance’s company, and his team is desperate to win the contract.”

“Rossi Enterprises?” Rebecca glanced at Gabriel, who sat there perfectly still.

“Global powerhouse?” She didn’t know the full scale. “So, what does that have to do with this gown?”

She had no interest in Catherine’s ramble at all, but since Gabriel was involved, she decided to listen.

Catherine lit up. “Tomorrow, they are throwing the event of the season. Soliaridge’s entire elite circle is

invited, and Vance’s company is on the list. Sonia and I will be there to put up front. For the greater picture, you’ll let me have this gown, right?”

At that, Gabriel started to rise again. Derek pulled him back down and signaled him to chill.

Rebecca laughed, and Catherine beamed, misinterpreting it. “I knew you’d agree. You’ve always been so sensible. We’re in this for Vance.”

“No,” Rebecca said calmly. “I’m not agreeing.”

“What?” Catherine’s voice pitched higher. “You’ve been cooped up at home for so long, unaware of what’s happening outside. You have no idea how big Rossi is or how important this collaboration is for

Vance.”
