Chapter 375
Rebecca’s life had been peaceful and simple these days.
Josette’s visa had finally been approved, and the plane tickets to Europe were already booked. Gabriel would accompany them on the trip.
Having him around meant she no longer had to worry about details like renting accommodations or arranging transportation abroad.
Everything was handled perfectly. She simply had to show up with her suitcase.
Her daily routine consisted of therapy sessions and rehabilitation at the clinic. When she had free time, she would meet up with Vivian and Jenny for tea.
The driver assigned by Gabriel dropped her off and waited in the car. But the moment she stepped into
the clinic, she saw Vance sitting there.
The second Vance saw her, he stood up and walked over, stopping in front of her with a small smile. ”
Rebecca.”
He was dressed up and clean-shaven with a fresh haircut. He looked thinner but still sharper.
She nodded at him like a stranger and tried to walk past him. He quickly stepped sideways to block her
path again.
She stopped, looking at him with confusion. “What? Got some good news to share?”
Her tone was laced with sarcasm, making him pause.
“Good news?”
“You’re so determined to talk to me. It must be because of some good news, right? Let me guess. Has your infertility been cured? You’re finally going to be a dad?”
“No.” He turned pale. “How could that be? I came here to see you.”
“For what? What is there left for us to talk about?”
“Well…” His eyes darted. “Regarding the divorce terms, I have some thoughts.”
She laughed in disbelief. “Be a man for once, will you? Stop going back and forth.”
“I’m sorry, but on the division of assets, I have a different opinion.”
“Gabriel has already sent a lawyer for that. You should talk to him. I suppose I overestimated you. Not taking half of your assets was my biggest compromise. It’s for the sake of the 12 years we’ve known each other and the five years we’ve been married.”
“Rebecca…”

“Save it. Any response or opinion I have will go through the lawyer. If you have a problem, talk to him. Don’t come looking for me anymore. If the cooling-off period ends and you still haven’t decided, we’ll see each other in court. I’ll accept whatever the judge awards. No objections.”
Unwilling to waste another breath, she pushed past him and headed straight for the treatment room.
The therapy and rehabilitation sessions took up the entire morning. While she was in the rehab room, Vance stayed outside, refusing to leave.
The doctor had adjusted her therapy plan. Each session felt like her bones were being reshaped. It was extremely painful and exhausting.
But she had never mentioned a word to Gabriel or Josette, afraid they would worry.
When she finished changing and walked out, her steps were unsteady. The nurse opened the door, revealing Vance standing right outside.
Annoyed and eager to avoid him, she nearly lost her balance. He reached out quickly to catch her, but she recoiled with disgust.
His eyes dimmed, and he forced a smile. “Can’t I even touch you anymore?”
