Aiden’s heart jolted. He quickly looked at Catherine, whose face had gone ghastly pale.

“That idiot!” he cursed silently.

The recording continued playing.

“Try any tricks, and your daughter will have a very ugly end! Give me your phone. Turn it off. Don’t even think about recording anything.”

“Now listen carefully. I have a packet of medicine here. Put it in their food or drinking water. Make sure both Rebecca and Rossi ingest it. I’ll give you five million dollars for the job.
