Chapter 453
“Who is it? Do I know her?” Sonia asked, having never been interested in Aiden’s affairs.
Isabelle nodded. “It’s Catherine. I was afraid it would hurt you, so I didn’t dare say anything.”
Sonia paused, then heaved a sigh of relief. “You know what? They’re made for each other.”
“Huh?” Isabelle was surprised by her composure.
“Aren’t they?” Sonia smiled. “Two rotten people together-a match made in hell!” 1
“That’s right,” Isabelle chuckled. “But I don’t think that baby will be born. I know Catherine’s type; she’s all about self-interest. She cheated on Vance and tried to pin the child on him. Now the truth is out, and Aiden is in jail. What good does having that baby do for her?”
“Yeah,” Sonia agreed. “But none of that concerns us. Let the trash stay far away.”
Far away in another country, Rebecca heard bits and pieces about the changes happening back in Soliaridge. Hugo would report to Gabriel, and on weekends when she went back to Kaitlyn’s house, she would catch a word or two.
But like Sonia, she felt nothing. It was the same as seeing celebrity gossip trending online. She might feel a moment of surprise, but that was all.
Gabriel worked fast. By the third month after Rebecca started school, the clinic construction was completed. And for her convenience, it was located near her school.
The doctors and nurses had all come from the States. Gabriel offered generous salaries and proposed one-year contracts. If anyone didn’t adapt, they could return home the following year and be replaced.
In Edwin’s team, there were always people willing to come. They joked that Gabriel was paying way too
much.
The doctor responsible for the therapy was named Archer Davidson. His wife was a rehabilitation nurse. The couple had come together.
Every day, Rebecca went for the therapy session and rehabilitation.
Her classmates were curious but knew better than to pry. Eventually, a girl named Edith Gould, who had become close to her, asked what the clinic was for.
Rebecca finally revealed she was treating her leg there. Her classmates were all fascinated.
“Can it really heal your leg?”
“Depends on my own effort. If there is even a sliver of hope, I won’t give up.”
Deeply touched, her classmates hugged and encouraged her.

Since everyone was curious about the clinic, Rebecca gave them a full introduction, mentioning body regulation and treatment for various conditions. What interested them most were the therapy sessions.
“It’s like magic! I’ve seen it on YouTube,” one classmate said.
One day, when Rebecca was heading to the clinic, Edith tugged along. She tried a program and went back, describing it vividly.
The others became even more intrigued and wanted to try it themselves. When Rebecca mentioned herbal medicine, they imagined various herbs being decocted together, which sounded even more like wizardry or witchcraft.
Whenever they had headaches, aches, and other discomforts, they’d all go to the clinic. Word of mouth spread quickly, and the clinic’s reputation grew.
The doctors and nurses suddenly got very busy. The clinic Gabriel had opened specifically for Rebecca began turning a profit.
