Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 571

Chapter 571

Rebecca’s research trip with Uriah in Ireland lasted a full month.

They spent the final week in Dublin, leaving two days open for a traditional local festival that Uriah said would offer a completely different experience.

They stayed at the same guesthouse where they had first landed in Ireland. The host was an old friend of Uriah and always accommodated him.

The host mentioned that on the festival day, children would dress up in costumes and go door–to–door performing dances.

Rebecca found the idea charming. Uriah suggested that she and Heather join in.

“We’re not kids anymore,” Rebecca said, a little embarrassed.

Both the host and Uriah laughed. “In our eyes, you’re still children.”

Rebecca and Heather burst out laughing.

“The money they collect from dancing goes to charity,” Uriah added.

In that case, they would go.

On the festival day, Rebecca and Heather got into costume, learned the steps from the local children on the spot, and went door to–door performing with them.

A heavy snow had fallen, blanketing the entire city in white, but it did nothing to dampen the festive spirit. The whole place felt like a winter wonderland filled with music and singing.

They followed the children through the neighborhoods, dancing from house to house until they were warm all over. When they knocked on yet another door, the big smile inside froze for a split second before blooming even wider.

Heather was excited. “Hey, we really do keep running into each other!”

The person who opened the door was none other than Vance.

He smiled at Heather. “Yeah, the snowstorm was too heavy, so we decided not to push forward. We’re heading back and will continue our trip in the spring.”

He was speaking to Heather, but his eyes flicked toward Rebecca.

Rebecca looked inside and saw Anna, who smiled and waved at her.
