Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 575

Rebecca knew that Gabriel had crossed out Vance’s name in his book.

But Gabriel wouldn’t say anything negative in front of her. He simply pretended not to hear. Dinner’s ready. Grandma and my mom have been planning this meal for days. They changed the menu over and over to match what you like.

It made him feel like an adopted son.

Rebecca couldn’t stop grinning. When she had first met Gabriel, even though he had been incredibly kind to her, she had been a little intimidated by his powerful aura.

But at home, especially in front of Kaitlyn, he was quite playful.

The whole family enjoyed a lavish meal together.

Just yesterday, they had been eating stew and sausages. Now they were back to fefined dishes, which tasted completely different.

After dinner, Rebecca chatted with everyone, sharing stories from her time in Ireland. She even performed the local dance she had learned. Everyone was delighted.

Only when she returned to her room did the monthlong journey truly feel over.

The room still smelled of gardenia with the diffuser. She sat on the soft rug in front of the floortoceiling windows, holding a cup of hot fruit tea.

Snow had started falling again outside. She opened the envelope, took out the paper with Anna’s contact information, and sent the friend request. No matter what, she couldn’t ignore Anna’s kindness. She needed to thank Anna.

Anna accepted almost immediately and sent a greeting emoji.

Rebecca replied wit

an emoji, then typed: [I received the jar. Thank you both.]

She deliberately used bothto stress that Vance and Anna were together.

Anna: [You’re welcome.]

Rebecca: [I don’t know how you managed to bring it back. It must have been tricky.]

Anna sent a giggling emoji: [He carried it.]

Rebecca smiled. Of course, she knew that, but talking about it with Anna felt strangely awkward.

Anna: [Is it convenient to video call?]

Rebecca was puzzled, then replied: [Sure.]

When she accepted the video request, the first thing she saw was a table full of plates and dishes from the same stall where she had admired the jar.

Wow, you guys bought so many?she gasped.

If she hadn’t been limited by what she could carry, she would have wanted to buy the entire stall.

Yeah.Anna nodded. He really likes them, too.

Then she pointed at the dishes on the plates. These are all made by him. American food.

Rebecca looked at the grilled salmon, sautéed green beans, and roast chicken. They were indeed typical American food.

She had always loved collecting cups and plates. The life she had once dreamed of was simpleeating with the person she loved, using beautiful tableware, and growing old with him.
