They finally stopped, scratching their heads in embarrassment.

No matter how absurd the situation was, the warmth of their protection wrapped tightly around her heart.
Neither she nor Jenny expected something even worse was about to unfold in the bathroom.
The communal bathroom had separate stalls with curtains for privacy.
Almost done, Rebecca turned off the water and reached for her towel when the curtain was yanked open. A hostile crowd of or six girls had amassed right outside her stall. The leader held up her phone, the camera pointed straight at Rebecca.
“Look here, everyone!” she said with a malicious grin. “See what our speech competition champion looks like in the showe
Rebecca’s body went rigid.
“Her skin’s pretty pale, just like in the photo on the bulletin board this morning! Hahaha!” The girl moved her phone closer mocking laughter from the lackeys trailing behind her.
“Get a clear shot!” another girl egged her on from the back.
Rebecca held the towel tightly across the front of her body, locking a freezing, deadly gaze onto them.
Rebecca held her towel in front of herself and stared at them coldly.
“Still so high and might! The whole school has already seen your pictures!” the leading girl sneered, mistaking her silence f weakness.
Rebecca tightened her grip on the towel, preparing to strike back, when a thunderous roar reverberated through the bathroo
“Get the hell away from her!” Jenny forced her way in, then lunged for the phone. “What the hell are you doing?”
She managed to grab hold of the girl’s wrist, but the latter shoved hard. The wet floor made Jenny slip and crash onto the tile floor with a sickening thud.
Rebecca took her chance to pull on her T-shirt and pants. Then she bolted out of the stall and rushed to pull Jenny back to her feet.
