That night, Abril had a strange dream. She found herself in the garden under a large tree, watching a beautiful girl with brown hair and golden eyes. The girl smiled at her cheerfully and ran around chasing a
butterfly, with Alessandro beside her telling her how happy he was. The next morning, when she woke up.
she wondered what that dream had been.
Alessandro was still sleeping next to her, looking better, no longer pale, although his face still appeared a
bit haggard. She placed her hand on his chest and began to infuse her magic into him. Alessandro woke
up, holding her hand, and asked her, “What are you doing?”
“You didn’t look very well, so I infused my magic into you to help you recover.”
“I’m fine.”
Abril stroked Alessandro’s beard and said to him, “The beard doesn’t suit you.”
“Do you hate it that much?”
“It’s not that I hate it, it just bothers and annoys me a little when you kiss me.”
Abril got out of bed, wrapped herself in a robe, and went to the balcony. As the soft, white rays of the
winter sun bathed her body, Abril seemed to glow as if she were the one emitting that light. Alessandro
watched her for a moment. Abril smiled at him and said, “It’s a beautiful day today, why don’t you come
out to the balcony?”
Alessandro did as she asked, put on his pants, wrapped himself in a robe, and went to where she was,
hugged her from behind, and said, “I think your idea of a nice day is off.”
“But it is a beautiful day.”
“Of course not, it’s cold, the sun’s rays aren’t warm enough yet.”
“Well, for me, it’s a beautiful day because I’m with you.”
“I wonder if we’ll ever be together without anything threatening us,” Alessandro suddenly said.
Abril remembered the dream she had that night. She didn’t know if that dream was some vision of the
future or if it had just been a simple dream, but she still wanted to tell him a little about what she had
seen.
She leaned against Alessandro, gazing at the distant, imposing mountains still covered in snow, and
replied, “I think so. I can’t tell you when, but I’m sure that someday we’ll be together without any worries, and who knows, maybe we’ll even be surrounded by children.”
Alessandro rested his chin on Abril’s shoulder and replied, “I’d really love that. I wonder what our children would look like.”
Abril recalled the image of the girl in her dream and without a doubt thought that is how their child would

look.
“Hmm… maybe with pale skin, straight brown hair, and golden eyes.
‘Or maybe they’ll have curly hair like yours.”
“Hmm… I don’t think so, something tells me they’ll look more like you than me, at least the first one.”
“The first one?”
“Yes, I think our first child will be a girl.”
“Well, that doesn’t matter, regardless of how they look, we’ll love them with all our hearts.”
“Yes, you’re right about that.”
Cassian knocked on the door, and Alessandro complained.
“It seems our time alone has ended.”
“We should get ready.”
Alessandro hated the idea of returning to his duties since it meant he had to part from Abril, but he also knew it was something he couldn’t keep neglecting. He sighed heavily and said,
“I suppose we have no other choice.”
Abril responded to Cassian’s call.
“Wait a moment, we’ll open the door shortly.”
Abril went to her wardrobe and took out a soft pink dress, straight cut with white decorations, and
Alessandro, seeing that Abril had chosen a very light dress, remarked.
“It’s still winter, you should wear something warmer.”
In fact, Abril hadn’t felt cold since she woke up; on the contrary, she felt as if a strange warmth surrounded
her, but not wanting Alessandro to get worried, she put the dress back and took out another dress, green
with thick fabrics that provided warmth; she tied her hair in a high ponytail and said.
“I’m ready.”
Alessandro had also just finished changing. He opened the door, and his brother had a somewhat somber
expression on his face. It seemed something was worrying him.
“What’s going on?”
“I spoke with Fay this morning and…”
“What’s going on, Cassian? Why are you so hesitant?”
“I told him we had accepted the alliance with the fairies, and he was pleased with that, but wanted to leave immediately and have Abril accompany him.”

“What?! That guy has completely lost it.”

“I told him that wasn’t possible since Abril had only been awake for a day, but he said he couldn’t wait any longer, that we would either accept his requests or there would be no alliance, since there would be no kingdom to save if we delayed any longer.”
Alessandro was about to reply when Abril responded.
“Then there’s no other choice. Tell him I’ll go with him.”
“Aby, you can’t go with him.”
“Lessan, I understand that you don’t want us to be apart, and in reality, I don’t want that either, but what Fay says is true. If we keep postponing our help, there won’t be anyone left to help because everyone will be
dead.”
“Then I’ll go with you. I won’t let you go alone.”
“What will happen to the kingdom?”
“Cassian could take care of…”
Cassian interrupted his brother’s words.
“I’m sorry, Lessan, but I won’t continue taking care of the kingdom or your duties. Maya will also return to the land of the fairies, and I’ll go with her. I’ve already abandoned her once; I can’t do it again. I hope you
understand.”
Alessandro knew that his brother had postponed seeking out the woman he loved to help him with the war. He couldn’t keep taking advantage of him.
“I understand, brother, forgive me for even suggesting that you stay.”
