Benedict
Since she didn’t bring any clothes, I give her one of my shirts to sleep in. It’s still too uncomfortable to sleep on my side, so I lay on my back and she lays her head on my chest. I wrap my arms around her and we fall asleep quickly, both of us still
recovering from everything that has gone on recently.
The next morning, I wake up before Sloane.
‘Marrok?’
‘All healed,’ he says.
I grin, quietly grabbing a condom and rolling it on, before teasing my mate awake.
“Benedict,” she murmurs, still half asleep.
“Yes,” I say, pushing her onto her back and rolling over her, lining myself at her entrance.
Her eyes flash open. “You’re healed?”
“Completely,” I say before sliding inside her. “Goddess, I’ve missed this.”
“Me too,” she moans.
This morning, I kiss her like I wanted to last night. She responds with as much passion as I’m giving her. I have no idea where my body ends and hers begins, and I don’t care. It feels so good connecting with my mate again. And tonight, we’ll officially complete our bond.
She comes hard and fast the first time, but I continue thrusting inside her, bringing her right back up to a second orgasm, and then to a third. Then I follow her over the cliff of pleasure, my body jerking along with hers in aftershocks.
I slowly bring us both back down, kissing her more gently as I slide out of her.
“That was a preview for tonight. Now, we both have warrior training, then I’ll come to your pack and stand beside you while you eliminate the traitors in your pack.”
I let Beta Elliot run warrior training, wanting to conserve my strength for tonight. Marrok snorts in my head at that.
‘I don’t need to conserve my strength. Being with my mate energizes me unlike anything else,’ he says.
He’s right about that.
Once warrior training is done, I let Elliot and Gamma Thomas know I’m going to Sloane’s to witness her execution of the previous Beta and Gamma for their treachery.
“I have to say, Alpha Sloane is a lot stronger than I ever gave her credit for,” Beta Elliot says as he walks me out.
“I’ve said it many times, Beta. People underestimate Sloane and it’s a mistake.”
“That’s pretty apparent, and I’m sure Alpha Felix would agree, if he’s even still alive.”
“He is. Now that his mate rejected him, Sloane is keeping him around as a testament to what happens when you cross her. I’d say it’s pretty effective.”
He snorts. “More than effective. Hopefully, my fool of a son has figured that out too,” he says.
“Do you know where he is?” I ask. “No. I called him, but he just said he was still looking for a new pack to join.”
I nod. “Hopefully, he knows never to cross me or Sloane again.”
“Let’s hope so.”
When I get to our borders, I howl that I’m crossing over, wondering if we should eliminate this border soon and begin to allow our pack members to intermingle. I’ll have to talk to Sloane about that, but not until we’ve completed our bond.
The previous Gamma doesn’t even attempt to struggle after seeing Gabriel lose the battle.
“Yes.”
“For your crimes, I sentence you both to death by beheading.” “Please,” Gabriel begins to beg, as Sloane and Scarlet lift their hands and extend their claws.
As one, they slash their hands down, removing the heads of both men simultaneously.
“Let this be a lesson to anyone who betrays me or this pack,” Sloane says, with Aisling’s voice overlaying hers. “Betrayal of any kind will not be tolerated.”
She shakes the hand that is now covered in blood.
“Bury the bodies. They don’t deserve a warrior’s send off,” she says, before turning to me.
“Is it wrong that I’m fucking turned on by you right now?” I murmur.
“Is there anything about me that doesn’t turn you on?” she asks, grinning.
“Nope, which is why I really can’t wait to make you mine tonight.”
“I’m moving my bedroom today, so how about I come to your pack again tonight,” she says.
“Perfect.”
I kiss her, then say a quick farewell. Only a few more hours and then this amazing woman will be mine.
